Leaving the Tent behind

On Monday 22 February at 6h30 Elmien left her tent behind and went on to be in the presence of the Lord with Jesus.

During her final hours I was sharing with her with encouragement: "The Lord is waiting for you, you will soon be with him and with your Mom and Dad; be able to speak to Abraham and Moses, and sit with Paul". She whispered: "I love you", and then after a while uttered her final words: "I am coming, I am coming...."

Shortly thereafter she breathed her last earthly breath and quietly moved on to be with the Lord. God's peace is tangible in our home and we praise Him for His goodness and mercy.

Elbrie shared this scripture with her last night: Isaiah 57:1-2 "Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths with rest in peace when they die."

As a family we have experienced such support from the cloud of witnesses that surround us. We thank everyone of you for every contribution you have made to Elmien's life.

This will be the last entry on this "Miracle Journey". Thank you for walking it with us - Elmien has truly received her miracle in the Glory of our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. I would think Elmien would close in saying..... Jesus IS enough!

Barely 20 our passion bloom

Sparkling love to light our way

She brought resolve to set the sights

On clear objectives to reach the goal

Through nights of books and heavy toil

Prepare exams and studies deep

My heavy eyes that seek some sleep

Alert my love to prod my side

To keep active and engaged with every page.

Sweet day when reward was there

The cap of credit to say ‘Achieved’

Her monument of support rise up

For my achievement is for her to fame.

With child on arm, in hand, on breast

She ventured on a plane alone

To join me in a land, uncertain on what it holds.

God’s Spirit touched our hearts and set our aim

To reach out to the lost.

I preach at night and work the day

She practices the Word through faith

Her message cleared the way.

A church established in this wake

With souls that count 5000 in this day.

Inscripted on this monument: ‘Obey’

Through thick and thin she takes the hand

Tribute from Elmien's children:

If one word could describe Mom it would be ‘selfless’. She was someone amazing. From the day we were born we were lavished with such unconditional love and care, forming us into the people we are today.

Through times of joy and happiness she rejoiced with us making those times so much more special. Through times of sadness and pain she comforted us, always sharing God’s promises to encourage and give us hope. She gave us space to be ourselves, in our own unique way, always providing the heavenly roadmap, to guide our way.

She didn’t just share her life with us, her unconditional compassion was shown and actively given to all those around her.

Mom’s life was all about selfless giving. She gave her all for us during our forming years and even as adults she still abundantly gave of herself without ever asking for anything in return.

This is the love she gave us. A lantern of love passed from her to light the way into our lives and those who cross our path.

Dear Friends and blog followers

I am writing this update on behalf of Elmien to her blog distribution group.

Elmien's condition has deteriorated significantly over the past few weeks. She has been in hospital for draining of excess body fluids due to the cancerous activity a couple of times, and is indeed still today in hospital since Friday last. We hope that she will be coming home tomorrow. She sends all her love and appreciation for all the thoughts, prayers, support and kind words that so many have passed on.

Her body strength has weakened substantially and she is increasingly finding it difficult to manage on her own, walk about, or be without direct support. Some hours are better than others, and we expect that the following few days will be easier with the large amount of fluid that is being drained putting less pressure on the internal organs. Internally there is massive pressure on her liver with obvious consequences for the rest of the body. In the natural the prognosis is one of a very short timescale with increasing futher weakening.

The Word and her close relationship with Father God is her strength with no let down on her resolve to be healed and restored. It is remarkable to witness that no sickness or illness can touch the Spirit Man and that it remains peaceful, strong and in touch. It is in times like this that we learn to differentiate between faith to accomplish our needs, desired and how we see solutions and faith that is simple, totally reliant on a loving superior Heavenly Father that accomplish far beyond what we can ever imagine. True faith will allow Him to be the 'I AM'.

Standing on the Word in times of difficulty!

I have received many messages on the Face Book and by email to find out when is the next blog ready! Thank you, you do keep me encouraged and going on!

I had a few weeks of many challenges and struggles in my body. The ankles and liver is swollen and pressure is on the other organs. I have to cope with pain and discomfort by the day which I never had in the past. My weight kept creeping up and became steady until a few days ago we notice a sudden increase which indicated some moisture retention. Yesterday I had some blood tests done and the oncologist checked the swelling out. She was not to concern now and said she would do draining later but it seems as the swelling has all to do with the liver. She would like to postpone draining as long as we can because it just set off a continuous draining once you started. This morning I stood up with the sneezes and a runny nose, which I straight away refused to accept! LeRoux is very diligent in growing and giving me every morning my shot of wheatgrass.

I want to add that I am calm in the Lord. No man can do anything more for me and I know when Jesus walked the earth He said ‘only believe in God and the One God has sent from above’; this is the anointed Son of God Himself. Jesus is the bread of life, water of life, the only door to enter through to the Father and heaven. Jesus gave His life that I (we) may have life in abundance. Jesus set us free from sin and sickness which is written in His Word and this is what I believe. Jesus is the full package, He is all in all!

I am one with Jesus’ flesh because I am part of the body of Christ. God is not a man that He should lie. What did Jesus say about the devil see John 8:44 (The Devil) he was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false. A liar as Jesus called the devil, so I will resist the devil.

I am God’s daughter and Satan is trespassing in my body because I fully belong to Jesus! Another idea I want to lay in your midst, I never call this cancer or sickness ‘my cancer’ it is not mine and I refuse to make it personal to me. It will stay that dark cells not part of God’s creation. These dark cells are commanded to die in Jesus’ Name and be cast out.

We are destined and appointed to live for His glory and therefore He has equipped us with all power through the Holy Spirit our guarantee for everything we need. So be it healing, the power of healing is already in us, it is operating in us through the Holy Spirit. We are empowered from on High, we do not have to wait for anything more. Jesus equipped us with all we need to live for His praise and glory! He is the perfect sacrifice we are free!

Last weekend I had my hair cut at my old salon I am familiar with and my friend who always cut my hair did it again after a year. She has done such a good job and was so loving and kind. It was a great blessing to see her again and been hugged with such joy. I looked so gorgeous that my hubby decided we are going to the movies. Yes I packed the wig away and this is my own hair!

The past few weeks some of our church friends came around. Our pastor arranged to bring a few people with him for a time of praise and worship at our home, which was really a blessing.

Studying Romans and Hebrews I am excited to share with you God’s goodness. It is very clear that we as humans could do nothing by works or by keeping the old Law to deliver ourselves from the fear of death and sin. God had a redemption plan and this verse says it clearly.

Romans 8:3 For God have done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh.

It is very clear that the Law was given to the Israelites to highlight what sin is and that we were all guilty of sin, but then the Word of God brings the solution so excitingly! Jesus became our ransom, the only one who could change things around, by becoming Man in the flesh like us. He was also tempted on earth but without sin.

Jesus has compassion with us because He walked the earth like us. He redeemed us of the law and gave us a New Covenant. Rom 10:4 Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

We should not mix the Law and the life in the Holy Spirit. When we mix the two we get confused and can never live in the fullness Jesus Christ has brought to us. Through the New Covenant He fulfils the way of the Cross, died and was raised to life by the power of the Holy Spirit. All for us so we don’t need to do anything more to please Him before He sees or hears us. He paid for it all even in the future. He has given us the whole package which are ‘forgiveness of sin, heals all our diseases, He blesses us and provide in all our needs, renew our strength, authority and power to do His acts of glory, signs and miracles following His Word, entering into the presence of our Father, death has been overcome forever and more’. Think about what have been accomplished on the Cross, Jesus our full Salvation, and if you are not sure about your stand in Christ, call or see someone you know that will be able to help you.

I sincerely pray that you will grasp this ‘whole package’ as Jesus said on the cross ‘It is finished’ John 19:30. Speak the life of Jesus in your situation and thank Him for His salvation and deliverance He has already given you.

Whatever we have ever done wrong He will not remember our sins and lawbreaking because there is absolute remission, forgiveness and CANCELLATION of the penalty of those sins and lawbreaking. No amount of confession of every so called “sin” as an offering made unto forgiveness can atone for our sin. Jesus Himself accomplished our cleansing of sin and riddance of guilt. We are to accept this offering with gratitude and great joy and gladness. The more we are going to concentrate on sin the greater our bondage to legalism and condemnation. How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of His eternal Spirit has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the ever living God? In accordance with the Will of God we have been made holy, sanctified and are consecrated through the offering made once and for all through the body of Jesus Christ. Hebrews10:10

In all these adverse circumstances I am not prepared to give up because I know God is powerful and His Word is the Truth. I stand on it and if I have done all the standing I will keep on standing.

This Scripture in Ephesians is so powerful I thought to copy it all.

(Eph 6:12) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

(Eph 6:13) Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

(Eph 6:14) Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

(Eph 6:15) and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

(Eph 6:16) In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

(Eph 6:17) Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

(Eph 6:18) And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

God cares for all of us

I want to share the emails and responses after some of my previous blogs went out. This is such a testimony to me how our Father loves us and take care of us. He prompt people to share His heart with me, to encourage me out of heaven, lifting my face like a flint to keep trusting and looking unto Jesus.

Hi Elmien,

You don’t know me I go to LCC. We have been praying for you and last week at the men’s prayer God gave me a picture when we were praying for you.

I saw a smashed cup, it was fragmented but the cup was restored, all the smashed pieces joined together to form a cup again. The cracks were still visible but the cup was now able to hold what it was intended for.

I believe God gave me this to encourage you, although you feel weak and fragmented, it is Christ who makes you complete!

As you continue to read through Luke read what the King James says several times in accounts where Jesus healed people.

Luke 6:10 -- "And, looking round about upon them all, He said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so; and his hand was restored whole like the other."

Luke 7:10 -- "And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick."

Luke 8:48 -- "And He said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. Go in peace."

Luke 17:19 -- "And He said unto him, Arise, go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole."

What good is a fragmented cup? When you pour into the cup it leaks. Praise God that in Christ he has ‘already’ made you complete and an effective vessel for the Holy Spirit.

I pray that having been restored in Christ Jesus that you become a cup not only whole but with no visible marks of physical damage and full of the Holy Spirit.

You are an inspiration to many and a blessing.

I learned last night that the cancer is growing in your liver now. This is sad, but I feel that I must mention this and please forgive me if I sound insensitive....God is not a man that he should lie. His Word is the truth, not the report of the doctors. The truth is that you are healed. I know this battle is difficult for you and I am amazed at your strength and courage.

I can see Jesus in you. I can see him in you everyday you fight this thing, without complaints, just worshipping him. I am in awe of your faith. You are amazing!

I hope that you will just never give up, you are too precious to be lost now, there is too much for you to do. Your time has not yet come. Hang on and stand, let God fight the battle for you...remember that Jesus is your strength, you have shown all of us that you have relied on and trusted in Him. Do not let fear into your heart, but continue to believe the Word of God.

Elmien you are a great blessing!

It was so wonderful to see you in the office last week! I have read your blog and understand that things may look grey but I still believe that good will overcome. Remember last year when you were first diagnosed and the negative attitudes that surrounded your prognoses. And yet - here you are, a year on, still smiling and still determined! I believe in my heart that you will continue to defy all the odds and get stronger. We are all here for you and love and support you!

Praying for you today just felt to say that we love you and are praying & believing for your full recovery in 2010.

God is saying:

Don't give up hope my child, hold on be steadfast. What remains is faith, hope and love. The enemy may seem to win battles and take away much but there is stuff he can't touch. We are going to win the war.

I am holding you and your faith won't fail. Shortly an avalanche of prayer, a chain reaction, is going to start for you and the enemy’s designs and plans will be totally exposed and destroyed. He won't know what has hit him!

I came to give you life and life in abundance. What you now have is lack but soon that will change my glorious daughter - beloved!

This morning I read from Daily Light this phrase from Isaiah 60:20 'And your days of sorrow will end'.

Today is the shortest day of the year, the day when there is most darkness.
The beginning of Isaiah 60 says 'Arise shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.'

The whole of Isaiah 60 is about the glory of Zion, but in a way also seems to me to be somehow relevant to you.

I do pray that the living hope of Jesus in you will be a bright light in this day and in the days to come.
“The Life-light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out” (according to the Message paraphrase).

Dearest Precious Elmien,
You continue to teach us so much about faith, love, family, friendship and life! You encourage us daily to worship the Lord and praise HIM for all HE HAS done for us, and this you do in the midst of your battle! I admire you so very much Elmien and thank God for you! I actually don’t have the words to say that could for one moment describe the respect and love I have for you! All that you have learnt only few get to grasp it? You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers and as your precious sister in the Lord I put my arms around you and give you the biggest hug and say that I love you ... and I thank you for taking the precious time to share with us all these very precious jewels! You are AMAZING!! I am trusting the Lord with you for your miracle! Without faith it is impossible to please God and I know that it is in your heart as much as mine to walk by faith as pleasing God is ALL I care about... the rest follows!

Be strong my lovely friend and even though it’s dark outside... the light shines so bright in your heart and life and it will drive out the darkness! The Lord's hand is certainly on you for good!

We are all praying for you and standing with you all the way...

My friend Madeleine called from SA and spoke words of encouragement, healing and wisdom from God’s Word. I listened carefully to my friend because she herself went through though times in her own health and how God brought her through. Never a day passes that she is not smiling and resting in God’s goodness. She is in a wheelchair but lives life and victory to the full. Bringing in the lost by living, loving and giving to the needy whom God prompts her to give. She minister to them by love and deed and they come to her to ask about this Jesus. She is a living testimony of life in Jesus. Thanks Madeleine as I look at you there is just joy unspeakable.

My children speaking life to me and the comments on the blog of friends and family, a sweet aroma to my soul, cheering me on to stand firm on God’s promises.

Le Roux’s brother called and my sister and family visiting in the Cape with them on that day all spoke to me. They folded me in their love like a blanket.

Our pastor and his wife came to visit and we had a glorious time together. Another pastor and his wife came a week before and as I say we had a glorious time of sharing and praying together.

This is why I lift up my hands in praise to my Lord and keep on standing on His powerful Word. He is faithful and sent His sons and daughters to encourage me, showing in a tangible way His love to me in this challenging time, but now changed into great victory because of Jesus.

It is a great encouragement for me and my family to know God has surrounded us with such a great cloud of witnesses.

I am eating better each day and my weight is stable creeping up by the 100gm. I am grateful for every change I notice in my body.

Dark, grey and cold but looking unto Jesus!

It is Thursday morning. The weather is grey, dark, dreary and cold and I am feeling like the weather! I had a stent removed out of my stomach and a stent put in place for me to feed myself less than a week ago. My energy levels are as dreary as the day outside and my weight is now at scary levels according to the dietician who worked out my BMI. Oh but my hope is fixed on Jesus because I had such a great chat with Him and the Father during the night every time I woke up.

I have an appointment with the oncologist on this very grey day. Le Roux was gentle and understanding helping and nudging me to get dressed. I have decided not to take any further chemo and she, the oncologist was happy with the decision because she was of the same mind and do not see that my body will make a next round of chemo. The reports as grey and dark as the day. She was very compassionate in her own way and made us aware to contact a hospice so I can be in control of my last days. I looked her in the eyes and said: “Caroline, I just want to say it again to you I am not going to die. I am too young and I believe God’s Word is true. His promises to me were none of death but of life and victory in Jesus. I read a book of Dodie Osteen healed of liver cancer, with God nothing is impossible.” I left the room because Le Roux and she still wanted to discuss matters and I chose not to be part of this conversation. Although I warned her not to scare my husband, she laughed and promised she won’t but will try to just answer his questions.

As I walked to Ward 2 to have blood taken for tests my mind played hide and seek with me. What if you are wrong and you are going to die? Do I recognise this “What if” oh yes I do and I started quoting God’s word to myself and prayed in the spirit, while I was waiting for the nurses to help me. Le Roux came and he was all smiling. I asked him how many days did she give me. Le Roux looked with great compassion to me and his answer was. "Our Lord is our hope and future it is the start of a journey walking in God’s goodness as never before. An exciting road because this healing is going to manifest or these people will never know how alive God and His Word are." What a husband showing me always to the love, mercy and grace of Father God. Meanwhile he has loads to deal with himself, running and trusting the Lord for business to keep flowing, building up a new company, dealing with the closing of the year end, intellectually dealing with the figures, and books himself. Cooking and feeding me at home! As I looked at him I thanked God for a husband who shows so much of God’s character to me. So how do I still bother with these “what ifs”?

Oh the wonderful Jesus whom is the Word of God whom became flesh for us. As I was studying the book of Hebrews that night these are the verses standing out to me.
Hebrews 10:35 Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.
10:36 For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
10:23 So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.
I bring it under your attention that I specifically put it in this order as the word spoke to me and I meditated on it. If this is not God speaking directly to me through His Word I am missing Him through a ‘wicked unbelieving heart’.

I was reminded of what my youngest son said to me the previous weekend: “Mum it seems as if you haven’t got this quite worked out you know as I know there is only One Healer and he lifted his one finger heavenwards, that is Him”. I was shocked and then I knew he is right ‘believe in God and also in Jesus’. I say it many a times to myself, now I need to walk in it. I know it I should not give a hair's breadth of doubt in my mind. There is no place or time in my case for an unrenewed mind. Emails of encouragement from family and friends in South Africa, USA and the UK followed after my previous blog…God speaking to me through them? Oh yes I believe that.

I ended with God’s word just washing through me from Hebrews to Psalm 40, 70, 71 being lifted by Him and again Psalm 46:10a “Be still, and know that I am God!” This verse is on a magnet at my bedside table. One of my dear friends gave it to me on the airport as we flew out of South Africa. My sister’s words ringing in my ears… Rest in the Lord!!!

The next morning as I woke there was this great stillness…and I want to quote my dear friend Russell as he wrote it on his face book.

‘Woke up in a Winter Wonderland! Thick snow! Stark black and white landscape! The world’s noises muffled by the blanket God spread over us in the night.’

God’s Word do wonders for me…read with me.

Psalm 40:2 He drew me up out of a horrible pit [a pit of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings.
40:3 And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust and confident reliance in the Lord.
40:4 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who makes the Lord his refuge and trust, and turns not to the proud or to followers of false gods.
40:5 Many, O Lord my God, are the wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts toward us; no one can compare with You! If I should declare and speak of them, they are too many to be numbered.

I say thank you Father for Jesus Christ Your Son and our full Salvation. Nothing has been left out of Your salvation plan everything had been dealt with. We are so privileged to know Jesus our Redeemer. I am so satisfied with Jesus! Thank you to all our family, friends and followers of my blog who have been so dedicated over the past year, praying, standing with us, sending Word of God, emails, telephone calls, SMS’s and encouraging me not to give up. Thank you Lord for all these precious friends and family in my life, You are a good Father!

Back in the UK

Dear friends and family,

It is a month since I last updated the blog. It was also one year since the visit to the hospital and the first verdict of the doctors. 'Only a miracle will work' they had to agree.

The past four weeks were exceptionally difficult with a sudden change in my ability to swallow which resulted in significant weight loss. I looked so much forward to the visit of le Roux in South Africa as I really felt so well and was enjoying my time in South Africa. His visit was taken up by the battle against the onslaught which culminated in me having a stent (small pipe) been put into my oesophagus to ease the pressure. We also decided that it is better for me to return earlier to the UK. Last week I said goodbye to all my lovely friends and family in South Africa and very excitedly returned to my grand children and children in the UK.

Through a scan back in the UK they discovered last week that the stent dropped down into my stomach and I was immediately booked into hospital to investigate. Last Friday another stent was put in, with the intention to remove the old stent this coming Friday. All of this has made it even more difficult to eat with more weight loss and to the great concern of all around me.

Today the full result of the scans was made available. The verdict was grim. It reminded me of a year ago. The cancer has grown aggressively in the liver over the past month with little options and solutions offered by medicine.

The onslaught threatens to overwhelm. The physical signs are damning. In the midst of it, I can only resort to the One and Only Loving Father who’s Word is eternally true. The work that Jesus has done on the cross is complete, there is nothing to add and no circumstance can taken anything of it away or nullify what it has accomplished.

With every breath I take, with every sip of liquid food I want to remind my soul and body what Jesus, the Word has accomplished.

Thank you for standing with me in the gap as we continue with this miracle journey. Now is the time!

When the light of God’s Word shines through!

I have been reading and doing some study these last weeks in the Gospel of Luke. This verse in Luke1:37 For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfilment. (Amplified Version) was highlighted to me and for the first time I saw and read it in this way.

‘For with God nothing is ever impossible’ most of the translations give only this sentence. This is why I love the Amplified Version it brings more than one translation together. ‘…no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfilment’. When Gabriel, the angel of the Most High who stands continually in God’s presence, brought the message of the birth of Jesus to Mary, that she will be the virgin to give birth to the Son of God into the human world he continued with this verse Luke 1:37.

Mary didn’t doubt the Angel’s message and answered Luke 1:38 Then Mary said, Behold, I am the handmaiden of the Lord; let it be done to me according to what you have said. And the angel left her. The exact way and will of God for the birth of Jesus the Messiah, was prophesied over centuries. God’s word was fulfilled immediately by the fruit of Mary’s lips. The moment she said: “Let it be according to your Word”, the Son of God was conceived in her.

God’s Word and promises which He has given to you and me are our certain Rock and Foundation to stand upon and not to give up on during our time of hardship, trails and tribulations, He is with us. His promises stand true to help us and strengthen us in times of hardships (Isaiah 41:10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.) When I read the Word I am deeply encouraged.

Our minds are in the first line of attack. When our bodies are weary, weak, hurting and playing up, our thoughts bombard us to give up: ‘condemning us with the reality of our senses, trying to convince us that this Word we hold fast to is not real and working! Where is the Jesus for you now?’ This is a temptation and lies of your enemy the devil, to discourage you and pump unbelief against what God is saying through His Word of power to you. As we recognise the lie we can see better to keep our focus on His Word and know Jesus has stood fully in our shoes, these thoughts start to dim in His light and the truth of the knowledge of who He is.

Oh how I want to plead with anyone who is in a tight spot to keep on trusting in, relying on, cleave to; believe in Jesus the Son of God who is the Word of God. Jesus became flesh, born on this earth like us humans to have sympathy in every way with us. In other words, He knows what it means to be tempted in human flesh. I have found I need to keep renewing my mind constantly by reading and hearing what God is saying to me through His Word. I am allowing the Word of God inside my spirit to wash my mind, pushing through from my spirit to overflow to my soul and body. I am always lifted up by His Word to continue on this journey in His strength and victory. I have to set my face like a flint to the goal of what Jesus already accomplished for me through His suffering. His promises revealed in the Bible, is true to me in every way. I wilfully have to make the decision and say it aloud to myself; ‘Jesus I believe you, you are the only Way!’

See Hebrews 2:18 For because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted (tested and tried), He is able [immediately] to run to the cry of (assist, relieve) those who are being tempted and tested and tried [and who therefore are being exposed to suffering].

Dear friend HE IS ABLE, Jesus went through all we can ever imagine and conquered it for us. The Word says Jesus runs to our cry to assist us in every way, believe His word. Remember ‘no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfilment’.

Dear friend some practical advice I would like to share. During my struggle with this long term sickness and disease, what I personally valued very much, was to have a friend, a family member, someone who will be able to commit, to stand alongside with me on my journey. In my case it was my immediate family and family in Christ in the UK. In South Africa, where I ‘m recently being treated with IV Vitamin C etc. It is now my sister and her family supporting me, spiritually and emotionally as well as in many other ways, together with my husband and children in the UK. Without this support of love, encouragement and care it would have been very difficult for me.

Sometimes I am confronted with secondary infections, like a cough, a sore throat or a sudden rash, even had pink eyes recently, sometimes suffering with swallowing difficulties. But as one army my committed sister and her family rise up with me and God’s Word is spoken, read and sometimes we just sing the Word and God’s promises to one another. It has a tremendous impact! Friend as long as you do not give up there is hope, and recovery in Jesus.

It can become very challenging to take your medication or supplements. In my case I need to take many supplements to build and balance my body after the chemo finished. Don’t slack trusting in and encouraging yourself by looking unto Jesus to stick to the program. Sometimes I become despondent with all of the supplements, but with my doctor, a devoted Christian not ashamed of Jesus, my sister and family’s encouragement I just stand up again to continue with the procedures and say to these capsules…’You are blessed to nourish my body and do me well, you go down and stay down to do your job!’ But oh Jesus didn’t give up on me when He had to fulfil my payment of sin and health and this knowledge is an inspiration to me!

When I received the chemo treatment I blessed the chemo to only hit the dark cancer cells and kill them. I asked Jesus to protect the rest of my body of any negative side effects it may have. Today I can testify how the Lord did protect me.

We as the victims sometimes need to do some research or ask a family member, or the friend standing alongside with us on our own behalf how cancer or any other condition forms and operate to help us understand our authority over it and thinking process about it. Knowledge conquers unnecessary stress and fears. Out of this research may flow some changes we will have to take action on like a diet, eating habits and lifestyle. Knowing what makes cancer or any other conditions thrive gave me a handle and I could take deliberate action to stop feeding or helping it on. Knowledge will also help to build your faith. Changes in lifestyle are a very tender issue to address. By acquiring good knowledge over a wide spectrum, not only one sided, will help you to make these good changes.

I trust God like a child… if a toddler stands on a table and his Daddy stands in front of him with arms stretched out and his Daddy says jump! The little one jumps because he trusts his Daddy to protect and catch him. What a joy and laughter after the act and Daddy cuddles him in his arms. Just like this ‘jumping act’ I am operating so simple in trusting the Lord. How? As I renew my mind I believe in God’s Word that what I read in this day is mine and it is the only truth, specially written for me. This is how my trust and relationship with the Lord is growing within me.

I speak about myself as healed and remind myself of His promises which I believe in as guarantee for the manifestation of my healing. I see myself as blessed to learn about His love for us. I am learning about patients and endurance to grow in me and to seek to walk in our Lord’s compassion.

Have I conquered all of it, not yet but I am positively on the way. Everyday is a new day of mercy, grace and love and I say that to myself and thank God for it. I am exposed to a practical experience everyday reminding myself of my healing, rejoicing in my Father’s love and telling Him about what is in my heart. Our Father’s love stretches from everlasting to everlasting available to everybody, I can say it with confidence because it is written all over in the Bible.

South African experiences! Matric farewell!

A few weeks ago were the farewell of the senior candidates, of my sister’s school. I was privileged to join them to the occasion. It was a Buffet dinner. The hall and tables were beautifully decorated and set. The young people going to be the following seniors in the coming years welcomed us and the VIP guests who are the seniors of this year. They were also the waitresses and looked after their guests in a brilliant way. The new school year in SA usually starts January running through to the first week in December of the same year.

As the VIP guests arrived they were photographed, announced and showed to their seats. The girls looked absolutely stunning and the partners coordinated with their colours; all of them in special evening wear.

It is a vibrant group of young people with a future ahead of them. Some will be going on to University and colleges to further their education and follow their dream career. They had a brilliant Christian guest speaker Dr. Lechuti, who used the opportunity to motivate and inspire the young people to grab hold of their opportunities and be grateful for them. He also challenged them to think about whom they are and where they are going in life. It was so good that we ‘oldies’ felt like just taking up the challenges ourselves.

After we ate it was the turn of the head girl, deputy and any of the others in the group who felt like giving a word of appreciation and farewell to their group of friends, whom some of them were together now in this school for four to twelve years and some together in the hostel.

Their speeches were spontaneous and every one spoke about being challenged in their years at school with the Gospel. They appreciate the Lord and gave Him honour and glory. They came forward as a strong group, with a great potential of leaders, knowing the Lord. Appreciation for the teachers and their education were part of their speeches, joys, humour, laughter and tears of farewell followed. Each of them in the group was presented with a farewell gift from the school, and then they could dance and enjoy the rest of their evening.

They had the opportunity to crown Jesus as their Lord. Word foundations have been laid and now they will be out there in the big world. We and the parents can pray and trust that they will make quality decisions and choices every step of their life’s journey.

My experience was one of joy looking back on South African history to see these children internationally educated in South Africa and giving them wings to fly with confidence.

You can’t get more it is provided for already!

I had to come to the conclusion where I realised that all my prayers for more of the Holy Spirit, more of Jesus, more of the Father is fruitless and futile. All my prayers for revival all my life is not going to produce revival. We sing Christian songs where we constantly plead for more of Him. We think we will move God to do some supernatural sign or wonder so that we can believe that He heard our prayers or to prove that we are special in his sight!

The first step was to realise that God has given us all things that pertains to godliness and life in and through His Word the Bible. He already told us exactly what He has made available to every one of His children. He left nothing out that we should try to get from Him today. While He provided everything we can possibly think of and He provided even more than what we can think of or even ask.

See Ephesians 3:19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!

3:20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]-

How did Father God provide me with all things? The answer: IN JESUS CHRIST! Even though we know the answers with our fleshly minds we need to grasp this with our WORD renewed minds. We can also say that we need to keep on renewing our minds until we grasp what the Holy Spirit is revealing to us. We have all heard the saying that it needs to drop from the mind to the heart. I have recently learned that it should be the other way round. The knowledge of the Holy Spirit living in us should be pushed from our spirit man to the un-renewed mind through the washing and transformation by the Word.

See Ephesians 4:23 And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude],

4:24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God's image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.

All the healing I have needed in my body to be free from cancer (or any other disease) has already been provided through the cross where Jesus became the curse, took the penalty for my sin and sickness then died on my behalf so that I could live. He sealed this testament with his resurrection and further by the out pouring of the Holy Spirit, God with me today. Therefore we lack nothing and should not continue to try and get healing from God but just take what He has already provided. It is not true that some people receive healing from God and others not. He does not choose whom He will forgive and whom He will heal. He healed everybody equally on the cross and forgave everybody equally on the cross.

The problem is thus not with God. Now what is the problem that some do not get healed and others do? I think in the first place we think God must still heal us in the future, so we keep on asking Him to heal us and due to our impatience, decide that He might not do just what we ask. God cannot give or provide more healing than what he has already done. My healing was accomplished when Jesus cried out on the cross: “It is finished!”

The second reason is that we might not understand; it is God’s will that all should be healed as it is His will that none will perish without everlasting life as He took away the sins of the world.

Ephesians 5:17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.

People are not perishing because of sin but because they did not receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour, they did not believe in the One sent by Father God as the Saviour of the world. God’s grace is more, superabundant more than all the sins of the world put together. Thus repentance is not the act by which Jesus removes our sins. Repentance is the act of changing our minds to receive what God has already provided in Christ Jesus more than two thousand years ago for everyone who calls on His Name for salvation.

Healing for our bodies works the same way, it has been provided and this provision is sufficient to cover every disease lurking in our bodies. We need to see this with our spiritual eyes, hear it with our spiritual ears and receive it in our spiritual heart so that the process of this truth will be manifested in our bodies. Don’t get stuck on the time aspect, time is not the issue here, what is important is the fact that my healing has been provided. I do not have to change God’s mind to provide me with healing, I need to change my mind and begin to understand that I have been healed two thousand years ago. God cannot provide me with more healing or forgiveness than what He has already done. “It is finished!”

John 6:40 “For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."

1John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us.

Matthew 8:2 And behold, a leper came up to Him and, prostrating himself, worshiped Him, saying, Lord, if You are willing, You are able to cleanse me by curing me.

8:3 And He reached out His hand and touched him, saying, I am willing; be cleansed by being cured. And instantly his leprosy was cured and cleansed.

Another problem is that we get hung on the “faith” aspect. We might feel and be deceived by fear that we might not have enough faith to get healed. The good news is that all of God’s children have sufficient faith for their healing! How is this possible? When you were born from above and received the Godhead dwelling within you, you have the same faith as Jesus available to you.

Heb 12:2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source (beginning) of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its (our faith) Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

You need none of your own faith any longer you operate in and through the faith of Jesus Himself.

Therefore faith should no longer be our problem. We have all the faith we need to believe that we have been healed and will see the manifestation in our bodies. God cannot give us more faith. After the resurrection of Jesus Christ He has already provided me with all the faith I might ever need. Jesus Himself became my faith. Thus all I need to do is to operate in this gift of faith provided for me free of charge. We cannot ask for more faith because Jesus is sufficient at all times. Jesus is more than enough!

So after all this: “What must we do to be forgiven or healed?” Only believe in the One the Father has sent to accomplish such a great salvation for us, our healing included. Ask for a Holy Spirit revelation on Jesus Christ, your brother and the real Son of God willing to share His entire heritage with us. He is our Healer, and then takes your free gift of healing. This is our son-ship right!

John 6: 28 They then said, what are we to do, that we may be working the works of God? [What are we to do to carry out what God requires?]

6:29 Jesus replied, this is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger].

I trust this sharing will be a blessing to you as it is to me. My heart overflows because I do not have to perform and weary myself out to be in the Lord’s presence! Just believe Him and what He said in His Word, by renewing my mind.

Psalm 46:10 Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God.

South African experiences!

I would like to share some real South African experiences in this blog.

My sister and her husband are running their own Christian Private School which presents the Cambridge Curriculum of the UK. The school accommodate children from pre-school to A-levels. Ninety percent of the children are from the townships and some out of more average and affluent homes.

What amazes me is the parents’ attitude towards education. Doesn’t matter how poor they might be or the difficult circumstances they have to face, their desire is that their children would be in possession of a final international senior certificate to ensure a better future. They will work hard even holding down more than one job to be able to give their children this opportunity.

Every Monday morning the school has an assembly where the children are introduced to and reminded of God’s Word and have the opportunity to praise and worship. My brother-in-law is more than the owner, accountant, managing director, he also ministers the Word. He asked me to present my testimony at the last assembly where the senior learners were present for the last time before they commenced with their prelims and final examinations.

The praise and worship was amazing, children so excited about Jesus and praising Him. His theme was ‘Prison Break’ and as he showed a DVD clip and used the story to minister to them I realised the privilege these kids in Africa have to meet and being taught about Jesus in an early stage of their lives…they are not doubting the Creator, of heaven and earth.

I shared with them how Jesus has brought me through this cancer ordeal and that I am alive because of His Salvation and deliverance through Jesus to me. I am also ‘breaking out of the prison of cancer’ I told. The little faces lit up with big smiles and spontaneous clapping of joy and brought great joy and big smiles to my face. You can imagine how God blessed my heart in these moments. Spontaneously we gave God the glory!

A month or so afterwards a young man walked up to me at the church where I join the family. He gave me a big hug and said, ‘You are blessed by the Lord and He has wonderful plans for you’. I received it and gave God the glory. I enquired about this young man from my brother-in-law. He told me he was one of the senior candidates, very confused due to circumstances in his life and he was present at the assembly where I had the privilege to bring my testimony. That morning he realised that Jesus is still in the business of healing the sick. He went to speak to their student counsellor who is also a devoted God loving Christian and this young man had his ‘prison break’ from dark confusion unto Jesus the Light of the world. I only praise God; even if this healing from cancer was only to reach people like him it makes my experience worth the while.

Put the Lord in remembrance of His promises

‘Put the Lord in remembrance of His promises; keep not silence’ – Isaiah 62:6b

On the 17^th of August 2009, my sister Helena shared in excitement Isaiah 41:10-13 with me. I give in brackets the words she shared with me as the Holy Spirit showed her. She declared that she has this clear in her inner being. God says,

41:10 Fear not, Elmien [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you Elmien; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you Elmien with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. (Jesus)

41:11 Behold, all they (all those cancer cells) who are enraged and inflamed against you Elmien shall be put to shame and confounded; they (all those cancer cells) who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish.

41:12 You shall seek those (cancer cells) who contend with you but shall not find them; they (all those cancer cells) who war against you shall be as nothing, as nothing at all.

41:13 For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, Who says to you, Fear not; I will help you!

This passage is amazing!

As the days passed I was thinking on the above passage. On Friday the 21^st August 2009 I took the chelating capsules at 6:00am and thereafter the enzymes as usual. I felt a restriction and had a struggled to swallow, and felt the irritation as the supplements went down. I had a burning like fire, something like bad indigestion and it felt as if the pills were stuck in my throat. When I ate breakfast it became a severe struggle.

The fight was on, my mind was immediately attacked by the enemy telling me that I am not healed and God’s Word isn’t true, prayer and treatment isn’t working! My spirit inside rose up because a thought like this is instigated from a source trying to bring the Word in disrepute. I immediately realized that I had a choice to take those thoughts captive and bring it in line with God’s Word according to:

2 Corinthians10:5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

The battle was real as I still had to take other supplements during the day and I was severely attacked by raw fear. I decided to stay at home and not go out with Helena as she had some errands to run and I could join her. I didn’t feel well, the symptoms was so real and threatening. Later during the morning I became very tired and fell asleep for a while trusting Jesus that the work He has accomplished 2000 years ago is still today the same for me – Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages).

I woke up, finished some of the washing and decided to do my exercises on the walker available to me. As I was walking I had to make a deliberate decision to praise God for His word, Jesus my healer and His great and wonderful salvation available to me. I quoted the promises as God has given it to me during my journey. Exultant joy started to fill my mind; I sang with my mind and in the Holy Spirit, a gift I received many years ago. I kept on saying, “Thank you Lord your Word is the only truth and your promises are mine according to Nahum 1:9

What do you devise against me you enemy of cancer and how mad are your attempt to plot against the Lord? He has made a full end to this affliction! Cancer shall not rise up the second time. This verse began to grow in my mind and body through my lips. I spoke it out aloud and also quoted the following Scriptures; Jesus said on the cross, ‘It is finished!’ Full salvation, our ransom is paid in full, the enemy cannot keep us captive and I chose to rejoice because of Jesus’ ransom for me. John 19:30; Ps 103:1-5; Ps 118:17; Hebrews 13:5 –My Lord will never leave me or forsake me.

Before we went to sleep Helena, my sister explained to me that it takes time for cancer to develop and cannot just flare up over night. We know by God’s Word that I am healed. I choose to only settle for His Word who is Jesus! Oh my precious Jesus, how beautiful You are, loving kindness and mercy (unlimited) forever flowing from You to anyone who wants to take this free gift. I only need to open this free gift and take hold of it through faith in the action of believing and accepting His precious Word as true to my circumstances.

Early this morning the 22^nd Aug 2009 I had the same routine at 6:00am and the pills went down well. I decided to spend time with the Lord. The word bounced from my spirit to renew my mind and suddenly my understanding grasped the Word which my sister shared with me five days ago out of Isaiah 41:10-13.

I share it with you as I have written it down for myself.

Cancer enraged, inflamed against me shall be put to shame, as nothing it shall perish. Medical scans will seek cancer cells but it shall not be found, cancer that war against me shall be as nothing, as nothing at all! I am your God, Elmien you are kept in the palm of My right hand.

John 10:28 says:” And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. To all eternity they shall never by any means be destroyed. And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand.”

“Fear not Elmien, I the Lord help you, I am your Redeemer. Rest in Me Elmien and enter My rest. I Jesus walked the storm with you Elmien, and I Jesus calmed the storm.”

For sure I declare with my lips my Father’s provision, wholeness, health, prosperity. I am dancing with Jesus and the Holy Spirit keeps on renewing and reminding me of God’s precious promises. Isaiah 62:6b…’ put the Lord in remembrance [of His promises], keep not silence.’ I prayed and spoke these scriptures to the Lord and it became a glorious time together in His presence.

As the day progressed the irritation in the swallowing became better and I chose to put my trust in, rely upon, believe in and adhere to the full salvation of Jesus Christ the Son of God, the Word who is the Light and Life of men.

Two days later and I just can’t feel better. I am overjoyed with my Father’s peace. I stand amazed at the wonder working power of His Word in my body and soul (mind and emotions) as one makes the choice to accept and believe what God says is true for one’s own specific situation.

How do I pray the Word of God?

Below is an example of praying God’s word which in time will renew our minds up to a point that we will have confidence to open the scriptures with thankfulness and praise on our lips for what God has already done for us through Jesus. We can also use the Psalms to praise and pray.

Amplified Bible version – Ephesians 1: 2-14

I pray Father God that your grace, your unmerited favour and spiritual peace, which means peace with You Father and harmony, unity, and undisturbedness, is mine from You, my Father and from my Lord Jesus Christ.

I give You blessing, praise Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah, who has blessed me in Him with every spiritual blessing, in the heavenly realm through the Holy Spirit.

In Your love You chose me, You picked me out for Yourself as Your own in Christ, before the foundation of the world, that I should be holy, consecrated and set apart for You. I am blameless in Your sight, even above reproach, before you in love.

You foreordained and destined me, planned in love for me to make me Your own child through Jesus Christ, the purpose of Your will, because it pleased You my Father and was Your kind intent for me.

My life will be to the praise and the commendations of Your glorious grace, favour and mercy, which You freely bestowed on me in my Beloved, Jesus.

In You Jesus we/I have redemption, deliverance and salvation through Your blood, the remission, forgiveness of our/my offenses, shortcomings and trespasses, in accordance with the riches and the generosity of Your gracious favour.

You Lord lavished upon us/me every kind of wisdom and understanding, practical insight and prudence.

Making known to us/me the mystery, secret of Your will, plan and Your purpose. And it is this, in accordance of Your good pleasure, Your merciful intention which You have previously purposed and set forth in Jesus, you planned: That in the maturity of times and the climax of the ages to unify all things and head them up and consummate them in Christ, both things in heaven and things on earth.

Because of this plan we/I also were made God’s heritage and we/I obtained an inheritance.

I thank You that we/I have been foreordained, chosen and appointed beforehand in accordance with Your purpose. You work out everything in agreement with the counsel and design of Your own will.

You have sealed our salvation with the Holy Spirit, the guarantee of our inheritance.

My awesome, wonderful Father God my heart is filled with gratitude for this great plan of Salvation in Christ Jesus.

Be imitators of God

We can read the Word over and over without paying real attention because we most often think we know, too well, the very scriptures we are reading. When we start to pray the Word verse by verse, applying our name and the names of those for whom we are praying in an intimate personal way, suddenly the Word turns into REVELATION! Understanding and life floods our minds and hearts.

I would like to challenge you to start praying the Psalms, and Ephesians and allow yourself to integrate, blend, unite, and become one with this astounding Truth. I found this practice to become a major and powerful tool for the renewal of my mind. In doing this kind of prayer, it will become the most exciting life changing experience during your day. As a matter of fact you will be meditating and living in the realm of God’s Word without returning to the realm of the kingdom of this physical world of lack, want and daily cumbersome burdens. You will find yourself living the life of an eagle, from above not from below.

Forget about your prayer lists and the things you so desperately want from God. Allow you to enter into His world, Kingdom and tear yourself away from your daily distresses and needs, even responsibilities for the things you think you need to pray about. Venture out into a new prayer experience and you will stand amazed at how God’s answers will flood your life. Take your mind completely off your immediate problems, desires and wants. Fix it on the Word as you begin to pray the Word. Stop looking for “intercessors” to help bother God with the things He has already provided for His children. You are about to enter the greatest revolutionary, adventurous experience of your Christian walk with God.

You see the Word of God says that I am seated in heavenly places wrapped up in Christ Jesus. I am from a different Kingdom; I have a different perspective on life. The more I renew my mind with the Word, I become an imitator of my Father God.
Ephesians 5:1”THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].”
I imitate His Words, LET THERE BE LIGHT! That light drives out the darkness of disease in every fibre, cell and organ of my body and mind. This light expels darkness in my mind to the point where no foul, polluted language nor evil word, nor unwholesome or evil talk of unbelief comes out of my mouth.
Ephesians 4:29 “Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God's favour) to those who hear it.”

When I think the thoughts of God, I have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:16 “For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.

I will also speak the mind of God and do the works of God. The word says I will be nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection, the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him. (See Ephesians 4:13) No excuses of being only human and therefore sinful will escape over our lips any longer! We will begin to see, hear, understand and live in righteousness, holiness, blamelessness and sinless in the presence, love, free grace and mercy of the Father which He made available to us in Christ Jesus!
Ephesians 2:7 He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favour) in [His] kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus.
2:8 For it is by free grace (God's unmerited favour) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;

It is a reality that this body of mine is re-diagnosed with the glory, life and victory of God on the same cross where Jesus paid the price for me to become the righteousness of God my Father. Jesus became the way and the open door for me to run into the presence of the Father without guilt, blame, shame or sin. As I am standing in His presence I am His kind, completed, healed and set free from every sin, sickness, disease and darkness because His Light is present in my life. I am a trophy of His free grace and victory. Now my life lovingly expresses truth in all things, speaking truly, living truly and dealing truly. (See Ephesians 4:15)

You see there is nothing I have to be or to do to deserve health, protection, wellness, wealth, God’s favour or goodness towards me, for God so loved the world that He gave us everything we need for a good life in His Son our Brother Jesus Christ. All we need to do is to receive HIS Gift of Love and live!
John 6:28 They then said, what are we to do, that we may [habitually] be working the works of God? [What are we to do to carry out what God requires?]
6:29 Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One (Jesus Christ), whom He, (Father) has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger (Jesus)].
Enjoy the privileges and inheritance of your God family! After all you are the offspring of your Father, you are His kind. The mystery is the Holy Spirit Himself living in you, your body being His temple (house, dwelling place). The Holy Spirit Himself is giving life to your mortal bodies.
Rom 8:11 If the Spirit of him (God) who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

Do we have a promise for long life?

The moment when you are diagnosed with a serious disease like cancer not just is the quality of your life compromised but also your life expectancy. In my case the doctor reckoned that my chances for full recovery were really slim. They would try to keep me as comfortable as possible but it was clear that I was not given much time. In a time like this it is important to know what God’s opinion is on a matter like this. After all God has the last say on any matter concerning our lives.

This morning while reading Ps 90, I was anew surprised at how our religious minds jump to conclusions on hearsay instead of investigating the Word of God for ourselves under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Psalm 90 is a clear discussion about the spiritual state of the Israelites while travelling through the desert due to their own choice for forty years. Moses is actually lamenting the fact that none of the people who refused to trust God will have the privilege to enter Canaan. Moses is doing some calculations and finds that those people will have a life expectancy of only 70 to 80 years before they have to leave this earth because of their own choice, not wanting to enter the Promised Land, stuck in their unbelief. (Also see Hebrews 3:7-12). In verse twelve we clearly see that a wicked heart is an unbelieving heart. An unbelieving heart is not willing to receive anything from God; it always thinks it knows more than God or that God does not really know what is good for us. What made God angry was actually the human arrogance and ignorance.

Today after the Crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour of humanity, there is no anger and wrath from Father God’s side towards humanity. We are free, forgiven, loved, received His mercy and grace in abundance! We are not living under God’s wrath or anger and therefore the life expectancy of the Israelites in the desert has no effect on us any longer.
Moses himself was 120 years old when he died without being old, for the Word says in Deuteronomy 34:7, “his eye was not dim nor his natural force abated.” So what is it with us that we all grow old so quickly and keep on proclaiming the life expectancy of people who lived under God’s anger? Shouldn’t we start to proclaim the message of God’s favour upon His children?

What about our life expectancy then for today? I am coming to the conclusion that we have a choice and say in the number of our days. “So teach us to number our days, which may get us (gain us) a heart of wisdom.” Ps 90:12 the Amplified Bible Version.

Wisdom means to accept the authority of the Word (Jesus) in our lives, gain understanding, knowing Him personally as our friend and brother, trusting upon Him totally and completely within every area of our being. Knowing that He is for us and not against us, knowing that our sins are forgiven, we are therefore without sin and guilt. “When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt.” (Hebrews 1:3c) “In accordance with this will of God, we have been made holy, consecrated and sanctified through the body of Jesus Christ, the Anointed One.” (See Hebrews 10:10) The impact of what Jesus has accomplished on our behalf is that He made us sinless and guiltless, He made us holy, thus we are no rotten sinners any longer without hope, once a sinner always a sinner. From the moment we accept this gift of salvation we have the very life of God in us, we are born from above, new creatures, all things have been made new in us.

You needn’t even try to remember your entire list of wrong doings or our sin list to be forgiven; for the sins of the world have been blotted out on the cross more than 2000 years ago and we are free to live.

Now because we have set our love upon Him, He delivered us and seated us on high, because we know and understand His Name, having a personal knowledge of His mercy (pardoned while we were on death row), love and kindness. We know we can trust and rely on Him because we know He will never forsake us, no never! We will call upon Him and He will answer us, He will be with us in any kind of trouble even sickness and cancer, and He (Jesus) will deliver us and honour us. How will He honour us? With long life will He satisfy us and show us His salvation. (See Psalm 91: 14-16).

Yes I know for sure that it is God’s will for us to be healed and blessed with a long good life for His glory through us.

Some cleaning-up procedures!

I want to confirm these words of Tozer because I experience my Father’s full love and commitment to me day by day. Every day is a new day filled with His loving kindness, grace (free unmerited love and favour of God, the source of all benefits we receive from God), and mercy (implies benevolence, tenderness, mildness, compassion, to be pardoned).I know with confidence what Peter has written in his letter;
1Pe 2:22 Scripture says, "He didn't commit any sin. No lies ever came out of his mouth." (Isaiah 53:9) (23) People shouted at him and made fun of him. But he didn't do the same back to them. He suffered. But he didn't say that bad things would happen to them. Instead, he trusted in the One who judges fairly. (24) He himself carried our sins in his body on the cross. He did it so that we would die as far as sins are concerned. Then we would lead godly lives. His wounds have made us whole.

During this last month loads of things happened to me. The dentist had to do major cleaning–up of amalgam fillings in my teeth. It is a specialised procedure and one should make sure that the dentist is trained and has experience in safe amalgam removal. My throat and nostrils are blocked by a rubber type of tent ‘rubber dam’ as they call it so that the amalgam and mercury vapour are prevented to go down my throat during the process. You can become very ill if this stuff goes down your throat or nostrils. This rubber protection is pushed over and through the teeth which expose only the teeth worked on by the dentist. We are still busy with it but the end of this procedure is in sight!!! The amalgam in my teeth played a roll in toxins being released into my body over a period of many years.

According to a health and medical article I read the so-called silver fillings contain less than 3% silver but more than 50% mercury. The FDA of the US changed their stand and acknowledged neurotoxin effects on the body and foetuses after an out-of-court settlement.

The American Dental Association advises special handling and storage precautions of the material which is marked as Poison. Residue waste from the mixed product should be stored in sealed jars and disposed as hazardous material by special licensed companies. If this product is left long enough in the jars, the vapours eat a hole in the top of the storage jar; something to think about. Does the dental profession regard our mouths as a safe place to store this mercury amalgam? Some questions to be asked if we visit your dentist!

We as the patients should wake up, do more research ourselves and ask questions about medication being prescribed or purchased over the counter. Cultivate the habit of reading labels and ingredient lists of the products you buy so frequently from chemists and supermarkets. There is enough knowledge available to us through books and the internet; we don’t have to stay ignorant or lacking information.

I know that many people may think I am fishing in the wrong pond, but hey, remember I have been diagnosed with cancer (one of the possible diseases on the list of the FDA for amalgam users). The source of the cancer is still not clear because everything responsible for this type of cancer was absent in my every day lifestyle. Therefore I will have to investigate all other possibilities as I have no intention of accepting the verdict of an incurable disease or premature death. At this stage I am doing very well, having high levels of healthy energy, no pain, putting on weight, having a healthy complexion, really not even knowing that I am suppose to be ill!

I am so thankful towards my Heavenly Father for His goodness towards me in Christ Jesus.

Sunny South Africa!!!

Yes, I am in sunny South Africa and enjoying my visit immensely. We have visited our Mom, and saw some family the first two weekends before my husband returned to the UK. I stay with my sister and family in Klerksdorp.

This is not to make you jealous but we experience wonderful weather. It is winter and our daily temperature is between 24-27 (Celcius) degrees. It is not so hot you just want to die or hide from the heat. The skies are clear although the weatherman brought us news of cold creping up north. Cape Town is having bad, wet, stormy weather, although this part of the country is wet and rainy in the winter season.

Enough of the weather, I am sure you want to hear about the post cancer treatment I am receiving here in South Africa. Concerning the chemo treatment I have received in the UK, I had the maximum possible treatment. They could give me nothing more though the cancer indicator was still above clear. I do not believe in being in remission, I believe in being totally clean from cancer to the point where the body’s own immunity has taken over the function of protecting the body against the invasion of cancer and other invaders. Therefore I am receiving very high dosages of intravenous Vitamin C, Vitamin K3, B12 and Alpha lipoic acid. Just after that I have an Ozone treatment to ensure further enhancement of the detoxifying process. This is done by removing blood from the body and then adding Ozone to it, afterwards administering it back to the body intravenously. This Ozone treatment is also available in Germany.

I am still on a very strict organic diet and clean water (no tap water at all) and will stay on this for the rest of my life. Healthy lifestyle and eating habits is here to stay as part of my life until the end of my hundred and ten years on earth!

So far so good I am doing excellently and feeling great. I have lots and lots of energy, swallowing even better and better by the day, eating like a beast, picking up wait, and yes my hair is growing back like fertilised grass! I am swallowing my natural capsules, essential oils, vitamins, minerals, lots of green stuff daily without a problem. Adding to the great eating is the delicious fruit salads!!!

I know that I have been totally healed and set free as it is daily confirmed in my body.

I would like to record this date 28 May 2009 a significant date of celebration! A celebration of God's goodness, mercy, power of His Word and the power of Jesus body to heal us according to;

I quote the results of the scan…’The primary lesion is no longer visible. All the visible liver metastases have shrunk significantly.’
I am rejoicing and so my husband as we read the report and letters to us.

Throughout the last six months God’s Word never failed to lift me up and carry me every day. I am daily aware of the cloud of prayer witnesses God surrounds me with and I thank Him for you and your dedication to stand with us.

I also want to thank God for the medical team and His direction in certain decisions taken through treatment. They were always friendly and positive. I want to emphasise that the Lord carried me through this time and He is still doing it today. His Word will always be a lamp to my feet and a light unto my path.

Respond to God

At our church we had a guest speaker the 17th of May from Bombai. His message was such a blessing, encouraging us to respond to God. I believe this post is also about my response towards Father God for His work in my life and body.

The scan after the last chemo was done on the 19th of May and we received some of the results yesterday 21st of May.

It was a good God report and the oncologist was very pleased with the results.

The spots on the liver which was crucial to the oncologist, could hardly been seen and because I am still eating solids and doing fine they assumed the tumour will also show good results which will be available next week. I could hardly contain my joy as the oncologist spoke I said out loud on every report, 'Amen Jesus!' It is a joy unspeakable towards the Father just naturally bubbling inside of me.

We have decided that I will go to South Africa to visit our family and friends. I will also receive some aftercare treatment with natural vitamins, good healthy sunshine and nutrients. We are looking forward to our trip, although Le Roux will only be there with me for about ten days.

I will stay with my sister in Klerksdorp for about three months, from the first week in June to mid September – still to be confirmed. Friends and family who would like to visit me there should make sure to send me your email addresses and maybe dates you may consider then I could send you the contact information and or confirmation for a visit. Visits seem more likely to be during a Saturday or Sunday.

I am giving God all the glory. His Word will never fail. He gave me His word to stand on and I believe in Him. My daughter, husband and son also shared a rest and peace in the Lord and as Elbrie (my daugther) said their little family is standing with me and I should guard my belief in our Lords finished work and according to Hebrews 3.

I share some of the Word God gave me before the scan and results. Fear was conquered by the day of the scan and I rested in the Lord. I was excited like a child because He has given me life in abundance.

It is amazing to see how powerful His words are. As the rain and snow cannot return to heaven but have to water the earth and accomplish its mission on the earth to our benefit – it is such a sure deal. The same is with God’s words. As He speaks to you through His Word, the Bible, or maybe this blog make it your own as if He has just spoken to you. Believe and trust Him.

I have a great opportunity to share this journey with you and I rejoice in the Lord. As He meets me He also longs to meet with you. I want to invite you to read the first part of Isaiah 55 because that is His invitation to you.

Jesus has paid the penalty which was upon us and today we live in God’s time of grace and mercy. We do not have to become better in our eyes before He will accept us. As we submit to Him, call on His Name and believe in our hearts He will do the changing, no pressure!

The last chemo

I had the last chemo treatment at the hospital two weeks ago. I have a week left to swallow the chemo tablets at home. My weight picked up.
Every week I am working a few days at the office or from home and feeling normal like anybody else. I have the opportunity looking after Daniel nearly 10 months old, on a Friday and get to see Joshua as well after he returned from school it is a great joy to me. As you know by now every breakthrough in my life belongs to my Father’s glory.

Scans will be done at the end of May and June we will get the results. I feel good and thank God for the cloud of witnesses, they are all of you out there praying and standing with me.

I daily remind myself of God’s Word to me Psalm 118:17 and others

17 I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD

3 (Jesus) who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Sharing my testimony

On the 18th of April 2009 I had the privilege to share my testimony at Russell and Gerrie’s church, Amazing Grace Church at Bromley. It was the first time and I knew from the Lord that I should not wait for medical clearance but go ahead.

It was an amazing experience to me and I enjoyed every minute of it. I shared God’s grace and mercy over my life in all this time of chemo treatments and how God cared for me. I had minimal side effects and the further I went in treatment the more exciting it was. I experienced God’s hand upon my body and could share this with the church encouraging the people to keep God’s Word in their thoughts and heart. As Jesus said in John 14:1…Do not let your heart be troubled believe in God and believe also in Me.

Now when evening came, He was alone there. 24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. 25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” 28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” 29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” 31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”

Jesus walked on the same storm which was terrifying the disciples in the boat. They were about to drown but Jesus called out to them to be of good cheer, rejoice guys it is I don’t be afraid. Who wants to rejoice if they are about to drown? The storm only ceased as Jesus got into the boat. Jesus is walking on top of our storms.

After I shared my testimony we prayed for people and trust God to fulfil their needs. A missionary, James came to me and shared what he felt in his heart as I was speaking. Many are called but few are chosen… I should share my testimony to proclaim the works of God in my healing journey for His glory. God has chosen me to continue.
He concluded that everything we need is in Jesus Christ the Son of God who is the Healer, Deliverer, Saviour and the One who blesses us.

As I allow the Word of the Lord to renew my mind faith is building and I can rest in Him knowing He is my Father.

Matthew 7:9-11 (NKJ)

9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

The 15th of March 2009

During the week as I was looking out of our windows I stood in awe seeing the new buds pushing their heads through on the trees. I enjoyed the beautiful colours and shapes of flowers starting to fill our garden. The pots on the veranda looked like flower bouquets!
As I was praising God at the evening for the pleasure He brought to me from my own garden the heavens just opened. I was dressed with the most beautiful flowers of all shapes and colours and flower petals rained on me! I worshipped my Father for His goodness, mercies and love. In my spirit I experienced what He was showing to me. All the flowers have different shapes and colours they are so specially created by our Lord and so are we much more worthy than the flowers. All people of all kinds of colour and nations are important and valuable to Him.

Matthew 6:28-34

Do Not Worry

28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

God brought John 15:1-8 to my mind and I knew I will be making a little bouquet of flowers the next morning before church and give this short testimony to encourage the people. Father God is my gardener and he is pruning me, taking away all dead branches to stimulate knew growth, to His glory.

The True Vine

1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

After the service, Lois’ (a friend of mine at church) father of over eighty years said to me he also believe that God wants to tell me I am His friend according to John 15:9-17 He encouraged me to give my testimony and know that God is making a way for me all to His glory. What a blessing to have wise people shaped by their life experiences speaking into ones life.

I love God’s Word. He is good and His loving kindness and mercies endures forever.

I write and share this because I don’t want to forget it!
The night of 24 Feb 09 as I was preparing to sleep I was praising and thanking God for giving me and every one else who chooses Him; eternal life, healing and blessings.
Then I vividly saw Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, praying and asking the Father to take this cup from Him…Read Mark 14:33 – 36
He was praying as a human; wrestling in Himself and pleading with His Father. He was sweating blood and as I looked at Him, I realised that we have no idea what He went through that night. He knew what was coming and what He will have to go through to accomplish the redemption plan even set before the creation.
Luke 22:41-44 (New Living Translation)
41 He walked away, about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, 42 “Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” 43 Then an angel from heaven appeared and strengthened him. 44 He prayed more fervently, and he was in such agony of spirit that his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood.

The Father’s will was the ultimate to Jesus. Jesus did nothing on His own; He only did what he saw His Father was doing.
John 5:19 Jesus gave them this answer: “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”

As I was looking I saw Father God bringing out of His bosom a photo and showing it to Jesus. Father asked Jesus: “Will you do it for Elmien” and Jesus answered, “Yes my Father, I will go all the way for Elmien.” Then I saw Father God bringing out more photos and Jesus said: “Yes, yes, yes my Father!” Father produced such a large photo as I watched this sea of faces was rolling by and Jesus said: “Yes Father, yes I will.” I saw God before the creation speaking to Jesus and planning the ultimate atonement for us. He saw and knew us even before the creation. What love!!! I knew this love we cannot comprehend with our human reasoning.

While looking I realised anew that Jesus has paid the way to the Father through uttermost obedience and He did it for everybody in the world, not one of us are excluded. He loves us so much that our picture is in His heart. It is our choice to know Him.

After a few days of the 4th chemo treatment I came down with diarrhoea and vomiting. I lost weight rapidly. The oncologist stopped my chemo I am taking twice a day at home. It was a two week ordeal and by then my weight dropped into the forties kg.

In all this time my husband and children stood by faith and encouraged me to keep on eating and taking in fluids. It was not easy but I tried to keep my focus on the Lord and His Word. I kept praying and speaking God’s Word to my body, knowing that His Word is true. We experienced a breakthrough.

The oncologist decided to give me another 10 days break for my body to level out. In this time I experienced my taste and appetite return and we set goals to improve my weight. I ate well and gained weight back into the fifties kg. I praise God all the way!!! Why…because He is my source of life!

The last weekend of March my husband and I had a lovely long weekend in York. Oh it was so cold and windy. I was all dressed like an ‘Eskimo’ but we decided to visit this old city on Friday what an experience. We went to York with the purpose to attend Andrew Wommack’s Word teaching conference sponsored by a church in York. It was like LeRoux said, “A celebration of healing for us remembering all God’s goodness in our lives”.

I had the 5th chemo on the 30th of March and I am doing remarkably well. I felt so good that I went to the office to help with some of the accounting and purchase ledger.

Yesterday in the early evening, we attended the Portsmouth Business Prophets monthly meeting, after many months. It was such an uplifting and blessed time together sharing God’s goodness and listening to some of the challenges small businesses are faced with. We could encourage, pray and share God’s Word with each other. Let us not forget to speak to our mountain, check our words to be inline with God's word,which play such a major roll in our lives, and believe in God and also in Jesus. It was such a great blessing to me and LeRoux to be there. Thank you to all of you.

1 Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-

What are His benefits to us? To show the impact of the word I replaced from verse 3-5; ‘who with He’

5 He satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

It speaks so directly to my spirit!

I read a book, ‘The life of Smith Wigglesworth’ by Jack Hywel-Davies. His life story inspired me and demonstrated God’s goodness and grace.

Smith Wigglesworth was a tough, forthright Yorkshire man, plumber by trade and ran a successful plumbing business. He could not read or write but his loving wife taught him to read using the Bible. According to the writer that was all he read. God got hold of him and changed him. He was baptised with the Holy Spirit. He travelled all over the world preaching the Good news of Jesus’ salvation and healing the sick. His tenacity and dedication to God strikes one.

What blessed me was how he demonstrated and taught on faith. He said, there was only one way to the glories of Jesus and that is by ‘faith’. One can have zeal without faith.

Zeal was demonstrated by the disciples when Peter (Acts 12:1-18) was thrown in jail and they prayed fervently to God to intervene. As God miraculously released Peter from prison and Peter knocked on the door of the disciples to let him in they could not believe it was Peter at the door. They were zealous but lacked faith.

He taught that lack of faith was a lack of feeding on God’s Word. When we are taken up with the glorious presence of our living Jesus, our faith in God will become alive within us. The only way to accomplish that will be to know God and we can only know Him through His Word.

We cannot go by feelings that I will go to heaven but I know that if I confessed Jesus as the Son of God and believe in my heart (inner being) I am saved. To help us understand; read this wonderful Word of God.

Romans 10:9-13; 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame. 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
I know it because God’s Word says it and I believe God’s Word.

Jesus our friend forever, John 15:14 -15; 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Last week I had a CT scan and the results was shared with us this morning. There were a reduction of the size of the tumour and some reduction in the liver, so no increased growth. This is a good God report because I believe the first report is not the last report!

I had some good days and bad days concerning eating during the last few weeks. My family did not budge and kept on making me eat to retain weight. I had a warning from the oncologist a week ago that the white blood cell count is very low. I should keep away from crowds, groups of people and visitors that might feel a cold or flu.

I called my sister in SA and her knowledge was well rewarded. I increased the bio mega oil, shark liver oil and nutrients. This was good advice and Leroux kept very strict in administering it, prayer, speaking God’s word and believing the truth of the Word brought a change. In a week’s time the blood count shot up and I could have the fourth chemo treatment today.

Today I ate the food of the hospital with good results. Usually when I get home after such a chemo session I sleep and can’t eat because of any appetite. Today I parked on our bed, felt so good and helped Leroux with getting the remittance advices out to our suppliers.
I started to feel hungry and I even had an evening light bite, to me it is more than a miracle! I give God all the glory!

Elbrie sent me some encouraging word from Isaiah 55:1-13 and asked me to meditate on it while having the chemo.

God is a big God. His word is the ultimate authority and will never change. His word will accomplish what He has desired and purposed it for. He says that He has made an everlasting covenant (means He is standing in our place) with us. We should seek Him while we can and He will not forsake us.

If we think about thoughts we know that there is no way that we do not think about something every moment of the day. He says His thoughts and ways are higher than ours; this gives us the security that Father God is not thinking small about us. He is longing that we will build a relationship with Him.

A good God report!

It is the 17th of February 2009 and a quite significant eventful day ahead of me. Today I need to clock in at the hospital at 8:00 am for a gastroscopy – this means a camera goes down my throat to determine what happened after three chemo treatments and I know God's intervention in my body.

I had a tough time to eat yesterday, knowing that I should not loose any more weight, sometimes just get at one. Then the words of that poem come back to me.
"You are not abandoned
Your spirit...strong and true
And even in your darkest hour
There are friends and loved ones...and My strength to see you through."

In the early morning hours I opened God’s Word and read again Psalm 41 which my friend Lizette, shared with me yesterday when she and her delightful, beautiful teenage daughter visited me.

This is how I perceive God's Word when I open to read it. It is as if my Father has a message for me, speaking to me and this is how He has a conversation with me. His Word – the Bible is my book of life and connection with Him. His Word is a very important part of my life. Now this is what Psalm 41:1-3 says to me today.

“1 Blessed is he who considers the poor;
The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
2 The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive,
And he will be blessed on the earth;
You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.
3 The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness;
You will sustain him on his sickbed.”

I was very quiet while my husband was driving and praying for me on our way to the hospital. One thing stood out as he prayed: ‘Father we know that you have Elmien in the palm of your Hand and You are in control.’ Seconds later after LeRoux finished praying the mobile rang and it was Elbrie: ‘Mom I want to pray for you.’ Her prayer was thanking God that He is in control and she quoted the words of Psalm 139:13-16 - Again Father was speaking to me!

13 For You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

Hey, God created me and you so what is there to fear - He promises to watch over us.

After the procedure I slept off the anaesthetic and waited for the doctor to come around and deliver his report.

This was a good God report: The tumour is shrinking and the opening between the oesophageal and stomach widened.

There is no doubt that Jesus has done everything on the cross and with His resurrection for us, we just need to come and take hold of it through believing and reading His Word.

Isn’t this a good time for us, my prayer partners and other friends to praise the Lord and acknowledge His goodness? Many a time God repeatedly assured me in His Word – ‘He will never leave me nor forsake me.’ Precious friends and family this is what He is saying to you as well.
Jesus says in John 14:1
1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

God has given to all of us wonderful friends.

On many occasions my husband inspired me to open my blog to the people in our company.
At long last I followed his instructions how to do it from my virtual office to my home laptop. Hooray I conquered it!
The response was good, their support and encouraging emails are very near to my heart. One of our employees sent me this wonderful poem and he said he thinks this is what God wants to say to me. Thank you John and family.

Yes, I never want to forget His benefits in my life. He is the hope I cling to and He is my Strenght day by day. He is not just a way of therapy to me... He is Lord, God Almighty, Giver of life and there is no one besides Him.

Third chemo no fear because I knew my Father is there.

A bit of background. With the second chemo I had many attacks in my mind and I went in apprehensive. I suffered in my mind but as I mentioned in a previous blog my kids were there to straighten my thoughts through God's Word.

The third chemo was scheduled 5th February 2009 but I decided to seek my Father and He was faithful to me He prepared and sealed it last night while I was communing with Him. All His promises flowed out of my heart and I praised Him for His faithfulness. Hezekiah came to mind. God granted his desire before the prophet Isaiah even passed the middle court of the palace. You can read all about this in 2 Kings 20.
While praising I saw and knew Jesus who said on the cross, “It is finished” John 19:28 – 30. I thanked and praise Him for all his goodness in my body through these last months. A great peace washed over me and I slept well.

Elbrie called me at the hospital and mentioned about their home group from their church was praying for me last night and they were reminded of Hezekiah. Isn’t Farther God so good confirming my thoughts? He is the great “I AM” Exodus 3:13 & 14 - 13 "And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them?
14 And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM and WHAT I AM, and I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you!"
We should never limit Him rather choose to know Him better by reading and meditating on His Word.

I read John 13 -16 while chemo was dripping through my veins. Jesus lifted my spirit with his teachings. I can recommend reading it in one session.

This was the evening when Jesus was betrayed. He knew what was coming and continued to speak into the disciple’s lives. He knew about the challenges they will be faced with and warned them in such an excellent, encouraging way.
John 13:3 “Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God;” Jesus knew who he was; he had a purpose to fulfil. He took action by washing the feet of the disciples. He demonstrates the servant leader whom leads from a personal security because He knew His position with His Father.
Jesus predicts His betrayal and sent Judas Iscariot on his way.

He gives us a new commandment John 13:34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Then they went on their way into the night of Jesus’ betrayal and to accomplish the reason God sent Jesus – perfect atonement, redemption, healing and salvation to all people of the world.
John 15 He teaches us to abide in Him and His words because He is the Vine and we are the branches.

The Holy Spirit will come to be our Teacher and Comforter. John 16:12 "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you."
This is amazing because we know the Spirit lives in us as we acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God in our lives.

What stood out to me was how Jesus repeatedly encouraged us how to ask. John 16:23 “In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete." Continuing in verse 26 "In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. 27 No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.”

John 17 Jesus prayed, one of my favourite chapters. It always reminds me of the present, His position, the disciples and their commission, their protection and positions in the world and of the future. Us who will believe in Jesus in the ages to come. It is worth while to read, meditate on and recognise who you are in Him.

Excellent material to renew our minds.

I ate well at the hospital even ate their food and left the hospital on a high note. I believe the reason for this was because I spent time with God’s Word. I am doing very well today a bit of pins and needles in my hands and feet but that disappeared now by keeping warm. By now you should know I take authority in Jesus' Name and speak to these hands and feet!!! Ahh-haa good stuff!

May we recognise God’s blessings on our lives continuously and rejoice.

Angels ministering spirits!

During Friday the 30th Jan.2009 I called my sister in South Africa to share the good news of eating like normal! She was overjoyed. She told me about her fight in the spiritual realm over the past forty eight hours. God gave Psalm 78 to her and changed her life forever as she shared it over the phone to me. The breakthrough came and she prayed to the Lord to send forth His ministering angels to feed me and another cancer patient she is very involved with in South Africa. He took a turn for the good and started to eat in the middle of the night after given up for death. Here I am and giving her such good God news about myself!!! Tears of joy just flowed between us.
Psalm 107:20 “He sends forth His word (His Word became flesh – Jesus) and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.”

It seems as if it was the angels of God who enticed me to desire that bread roll so overwhelmingly… just doing their job!!! Hebrews 1:14 “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?"

A significant breakthrough!

Third chemo was scheduled for the 29th Jan.2009. The oncologist was not happy with a further drop in weight and pleaded with me to add the fats and proteins – butter – full cream milk, cream to everything I eat!!! 'Please eat chocolates', but even that could not entice me. Oh boy I had the taste in my mouth. I tried all and can’t face it any longer!!! Chocolates I never bowed the knee to since the diagnosis because I learned that sugar enhances cancer.

There was a delay in the results of the blood tests so Leroux went to the office. I usually order the hospital lunch for LeRoux as I cannot eat it. As the lunch arrived I called him. He encouraged me to eat the soup.

I tested the soup which was tasty and fresh.
Then temptation struck!!! On the side plate was the most delicious whole wheat seeded bread roll, crusty and inviting with good butter on the side! Oh man it just call out to me – eat me eat me!!! Who can resist? I picked up the bread roll open, smell, break and butter it! I said ‘Oh Lord it is not liquidised, bless it to my body I am going to bite it!’ Without a second thought I bit into it and chewed…divine…divine…I swallowed and it went straight through without a problem. I could not stop eating and praising the Lord. I called my direct family to share the good news and praised the Lord. Then the results of the blood count came: “Mrs Cilliers your white blood cell count is to low no chemo today, you can go home. You will have a week’s grace.”

Since that tempting little bread roll I did not stop to eat proper food again, wonderful omelettes, cheesy melt downs, a cooked breakfast. Yesterday I even had dinner with the boys at our house which I prepared myself. Everyday I speak the resurrection life of Jesus over my body and praise the Lord for His goodness. I keep on praising and reminding Jesus of what He said in Psalm 103:5

Giving thanks to the Lord

I want to give thanks to the Lord! In all this time since treatment started I have never experienced all the dreaded side effects they warned me about. I lost my hair but what is that in comparison to fight everyday against feeling very ill. To me this is the Lord’s miracle power I am walking in day by day. Psalm 103: 2 ‘Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits’.

Early after this diagnosis God woke me up and made me look to my hands. God reminded me of Ephesians1:19 – 22 (Amplified)
19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us, who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,
20 Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places],
21 Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.

As I looked at my hands, I knew God showed me His resurrection power is in my hands, ‘put your hands on your body and receive life’ as I did, joy flooded me. Belief and knowing took hold in my spirit. I have found a renewed relationship with the Lord by reading His word. I ask the Holy Spirit to help and teach me. I have not arrived. Everyday I have to allow the Word of God to take root and grow in me.

Kindling a Vision

Elbrie’s time of chatting to me the morning of 28th Jan 09 was God ordained. We just spontaneously went into prayer and declared God’s glory. I used the opportunity to submit and say ‘YES’. As I was fulfilling my duties the rest of the day looking after Daniel the seed started to germinate. Vision started to form in my innermost being.

Pastor Russell and Gerrie (his wife) Chadwick made an appointment to visit with us in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, shared and laughed much!!! Thanks, it was health to the bones as Proverbs declares.

I shared with them about Elbrie and our chat the same morning. Ideas started to flow. Wow is this how God put things in place without me feeling under threat. If you know Russell he has a way to say things but it leaves an impact. Russell and Gerrie spontaneously invited me to share my testimony at their church service. Gerrie said that they are waiting for a date and reminded me with a follow-up email.

I know I want to be obedient to my Lord and He is my only desire. I became aware of how I have allowed the Word of God to wash away much of the carnal mind and penetrate my spirit.

Then we prayed, proclaimed and declared God’s glory, goodness and healing. We had an awesome time with the Father, Jesus and His Spirit praying for each other. Russell imparted God’s anointing on my life. No bells and whistle just straight forward and plain. We were so aware of God’s presence and peace amongst us. It is good to see our prayer partners and experience their hearts.

Leroux mentioned about a vision God gave him just after the diagnosis.
He saw me standing with God’s light penetrating my body. From my belly a multitude of flaming arrows shot forth ministering to those around me.
I remembered Leroux mentioned it previously but I could not perceive and receive it then. It was very far off. As he prompted me this evening it changed into reality and kindled vision in me. I was overjoyed and excited. I have my first assignment as Elbrie so rightly declared that same morning.

I knew God had loads of patience with me. He took me by the hand and led me through green pastures; He is gentle and kind – Psalm 23. What He longs for is my relationship with Him; works doesn’t impress Him because He loved us in spite of our performance. His love was even steadfast before He spoke the foundation of the earth into being.

This morning I continued reading Ephesians 4 & 5 and was blessed by God’s precious Word, Paul says:
1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Faced with Choices

The 28th of January 2009 stand out as a significant date in this stage of my life.

While having our chat Elbrie and I went on debating. When we acknowledge and say that “by the stripes of Jesus I was healed” according to 1 Peter 2:24; prophesied by Isaiah found in chapter 53:5 many centuries ago; spoken by David in Psalms 103:3; Jesus walking the earth and healed everybody brought to Him; we need to act upon God’s word because that is what we believe. His Word is the only truth! How do I act if it is invisible to me?

I have no pain in my body and the pain which appeared every now and then I learned to speak to it in Jesus Name and experienced an almost immediate response of lifting from my body. A pain across my chest persisted longer but I did not give up praising the Lord for what He has already done for me. All kinds of negative thoughts bombarded me which I choose not to entertain according to 2 Corinthians 10: 3 for though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

How do I overcome everyday; this thing is in my face when I have to eat? Can I just skip the eating part? No that will be unwise I will keep on loosing too much weight. My hope is like Jesus said in John 14:1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.” Friends this is my choice to believe in Him and I never want to ever change it.

I have listened to many good teachings by Andrew Wommack a link to his website is http://www.awme.net/ His basic Word teachings brought many things down in my life and God’s Word started to release His mind in me over these past months since the diagnosis. There are certain patterns and believes that have changed in me forever. I want you to know this is God’s grace and glory I want to give to Him forever my life.

Every time confusion hits I made a choice to embrace God’s Word rather than negative thoughts for example: “I would speak out loud to myself and say ‘I deny you the right (this thought) to take root in my mind’” and then I will praise the Lord out loud. I found this to work for me and then the peace of God takes over. I don’t know how to explain this “knowing in my innermost being that I know that I know God has healed me”. I share this with you because it is about a journey of my whole being. There is times when you battle with yourself while Jesus is standing there and just want us to know His love is immeasurable and everlasting.

He WILL never leave us nor forsake us; Joshua 1:5; Hebrew 13:5b; Psalm 9:10 he cannot because that is not who He is. I have realised that I act selfish and immature by blaming Him for things I did not understand. His Word is clear and will never change we have to change and embrace His Word and allow His Holy Spirit to teach us by just asking Him.
As we read Psalm 78 can I still doubt who He is? Can I still argue? No because I believe His Word as the breath of my life.

I praise Him that He is steadfast, unchanging and that I can know my hope for a future is secure in Him. Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
This Word I embrace and repeat many a times not to change and manipulate God but to build me up and change me.

I am not finish with the 28th Jan. 09. I used this opportunity to tell you a bit of ones walk day by day and choices that becomes life-breathing choices in ones life. I don’t want you to paint a picture that I do not experience things that you also experience.

Preparing a testimony

Prior to the third chemo God dropped little nuggets of challenges in my spirit – “write and prepare a testimony”, which I kept in my heart and spoke to Him about. Last week on the 28th Elbrie my daughter was with me and asked if we could have a chat while Daniel is sleeping and we enjoy something warm to drink, me just having my normal sips of water!

She started straight to the point – “I have been praying for you and asked God straight questions. Today I want to deliver my thoughts which I believe are inspired by His Spirit.”

“Mom you need to write a testimony and prepare.”
What could I say more? Father God has spoken and fireball Elbrie was calm, cool and determent in delivering her message.

Staring at her I thanked God deep in my heart. Looking back on a decade thinking – ‘Father I have no other agenda but to praise you. You have shown yourself as the Almighty Father in this decade in my life’. This is my daughter I have fought for when the enemy wanted to destroy her – and here she is sitting in front of me, standing with me now and not cringing to be straight and delivering God’s confirmation.

I remembered my husband said to me seven months ago: “I am preparing to release you from the business because God showed me I need to release you for ministry!” That same following Sunday at church God confirmed through a minister from Uganda I remember his name as Trevor, that God shows him Leroux needs to release me for ministry.

At that stage my carnal mind rushed and I asked how this is going to happen. I am a bookkeeper and love accountancy and everything my husband taught me from his years of experience as a professional accountant and consultant. I could not see beyond the carnal mind!!! I remember Leroux and Trevor saying, “Don’t worry God will lead the way and take you through, it is for His purposes.”

Elbrie lightened up with a twinkle in the eye, “I will help you and here is my thoughts, pray about it, get the Scriptures of God’s Word together and write, I will help with the editing, print it, read and learn it, speak and teach it to yourself using the mirror.” That was it!!!

Celebrations!!!

In the weeks past I had telephone contact with our family is South Africa, Pierre and Jeanne, Helena and Andre and Glenda my friend in Sandton. Oh it was such a blessing to speak to you.

It was great to Skype with our wonderful Mom in South Africa. Technology made it easy because Ouma could see us but unfortunately she did not have her webcam with her. Mom it is time for another Skype!!! Elma, my husband precious sister also in SA, we had a wonderful chat on the Skype messages!

Right through I had friends emailing and on Facebook send their love and messages, came to visit at home. By the click of a button the world came into our homes. Thank you precious friends for your encouraging comments on the blog.

We had a wonderful weekend with our precious family the Diederiks up north in England, whom slept over at our place…because it was three important men’s birthdays! Joshua, turned nine, Daniel turned six months and LeRoux turned ohhh-whooo can’t remember!!! All our children were here and our dear friends Lizette, JC and family. Aghh how good was that!!!

Second chemo went down well with minimal side effects. I had some difficulty to eat or rather have an appetite. The great Carer and my children helped me through loads of battles in the mind during that week and of cause I can’t get pass my earthly carer, LeRoux.

I am preparing for the third chemo tomorrow. This might sound funny, but hey we need to laugh more in life…God’s word says it is good for the bones! I have the opportunity to build myself continuously with His Word. I do love it!

Almost every morning my wonderful husband writes something connected with the Word of God to me. I want to close with this:

“Phil 4:4-7
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

We have prayed, we turned to the Lord, and now it is time to rest in Him. He is near. He is with you. He knows your every need, your pain, you hearts desire. Let His peace flood your whole body. Just receive it, let it wash you like water, inside and outside.
I pray that you will experience his overwhelming peace today.”

I would like to pass God's overwhelming peace to you as well. Let us not slack in praising our Lord for His goodness in the small and greater things in our daily lives.

Praise the Lord

I am so grateful to Kay and Sally from our church who visited me yesterday after the chemo to pray with me. Hi blessings, I feel absolutely wonderful. Thanks for your dedication. Sally shared Psalm 136:1-9. I say yes to Him and am grateful for His loving kindness.

Michelle from church thank you for your book mark which reminds me everyday. Mark 9:23 “All things are possible to him who believes”

When reading this morning the following verses I want to share it because it will be an encouragement to you and me.

1 John 3: 1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3 Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

We may not know what the future holds, and that may make us uncertain or even afraid. No - we can bask in the sun of His love, the assurance that he is in control and that he has prepared everything for us. As His children we can have hope, we can rest and be assured.

Upcoming second chemo

Time is walking on and I feel so good. I can’t stop saying it; “my Lord I am blessed and you are so good, I rejoice and I am basking in your everlasting love!!!”

There are a few days ahead for the second round. A friend of ours, Paul at the church wrote Psalm 103:1-5 as a song and I was listening to it over and over again until I could recite it as I go to sleep. Unfortunately we could not get it to work on the blog for you to listen to…hopefully someone out there will know how and send us the instructions!

I had time to study the Bible and listen to glorious Word teachings. I listened specifically to teachings on Praise which enlightened me and by the Holy Spirit practical Praise became very real to me.

There were certain decisions I made and Father confirmed it through His word the next day on the second day of chemo. My friend Lizette shared Phil.4:9.

Le Roux brought my breakfast and sent me an email.

My darling

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2 Pet 1:3

I pray with you that His Word will operate in your body today, that His divine power will protect every healthy cell and steer the chemo directly to the cancer to block and kill those cells. We lift you up in the Name of Jesus.

We arrived at the Spires hospital. The oncologist visited us and was astonished at the GOOD report we gave her. She actually asked to look at my hands and commented, “Did we give you the first Chemo? This is good news which I want to hear.” In my spirit I rejoiced because I know the resurrection power of Jesus flow through me. The blood test results came back and there were no great movement in the counts so it was decided to continue with the chemo.

Hubby, Elbrie and I spoke God’s anointing over me by using the Word as chemo is administered, for example:

“Jesus bore my sickness and carried my pain. Therefore I choose to give no place to sickness, pain or any side effects. For God send His Word (Jesus) and healed me. Ps 107:20”
“Growths and tumours have no right to my body. They are a thing of the past for I am delivered from the authority of darkness 2000 years ago through the atonement of Jesus. Col. 1:13, 14.” From C. Capps – God’s creative power for healing. Both I made my own which you will not find exactly written by the author. This helps me to keep focussed on the Word.

My sister called at evening and said she prayed for me almost all day how am I doing? I am fine I slept well after chemo the afternoon at home. Pins and needles are the only sensation because of the cold and touching anything cold.

God gave her this Word in the morning for me;

1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah - actually means for us to meditate on, think about what is been said.
2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah
5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

My confession is:
He was made sick with my diseases so that I can be made healthy through the gagging wounds slashed into His body. I believe in Jesus Christ, my Healer. Therefore, I am healed and made whole, more than 2000 years ago and this healing is manifesting in my body today.
He has done it all for me, yes me, out of His love for me, so I receive it all out of my gratitude towards His Gift of Life to my. I will praise and worship Him in this body He gave me, to be a healthy house for His Glory.

The weekend before the second chemo

The weekend before the second chemo I wet my hair with my fingers to ease them after the night’s sleep which I am sure most of us has to do!!! Oh dear my fingers was full of hair! Not natural… then I remembered the doctor warned me about hair starting to loosen up about the third week. Every time one runs one’s fingers through you need the dustbin nearby!
I was emotional and a bit teary but then LeRoux came into the room ready to hug and assure me this can be overcome. What an angel of a husband God has given me.

I wrote to all of our children an email and ask them to come up with suggestions…whose style in the family or well hmmm; will they recommend. Will I keep to Gabriel our son and Daniel our little new grandson’s boldness? Rather choose Joshua, our other grandson which is eight years and his dad, Marcus our daughter’s husband – they are funky! Then of cause there is Johan our other son before he cut it a few days after and LeRoux’s style – to boring! What about Elbrie’s long sleek hair - oh la-la!!! Decision is made Elbrie and I will visit the wigs place not far from us as soon as I get an appointment.

I particularly love the verse in Peter that says we should have a gentle and quiet spirit. We should not be loud, announcing our problems, fears, etc. but wait upon the Lord - it reminds me again of that verse that says - Be still, and know that I am God! He has our past, present and future in the palm of His hand and there is no one greater than Father God, so what on earth shall we be afraid of.
Marcus and I are standing with you mom, and the rest of the family, we are trusting God all the way for His miraculous power and intervention in your life, Josh's & Daniel's lives! You are all so precious and I just know God still has a BIG plan for you three!

My big sons came and hugged me; we were so relaxed and chatty!
My sister Skype the evening and assured me I am walking already in a miracle with such a good God report she is hearing, remember they went through this at the beginning of the year and experienced God’s miracle after three months of chemo with their son. He was already in stage four when diagnosed and after his first scan was clear. He was also treated at the same time with the alternative IV Vitamin C. This is to the glory of our majestic, awesome Father God we serve. Hallelujah – translated – Praise the Lord/literally means “you must all praise the Lord” – Yah is the shorter form for God’s holy name Yahweh!

Monday arrived and so did mother and daughter on the doorstep of the wig professionals! The consulting started and what a laugh – good for the bones and flesh. After a good two hours I walked out - a new lady – not to funky but well to begin with – ha-ha-ha! My darling wanted me blond! Auk wena! (Zulu for-‘oh you’).

The after effects of chemo...but God's glory manifested!

As you will notice I have fallen behind updating my blog over the Christmas time! We had such a lovely blessed time together as a family. All our children were with us since the 24th – 27th and the boys could stay for longer up till after New Year. We really consider ourselves as blessed and we are grateful to our Father. We could Skype our family in the USA and South Africa and that was so good.
Le Roux’s brother from the USA called me and shared what the Lord showed him in church when he went up for praying for me. A lady stood behind him and she spoke to him that God says what he has asked for is accomplished as she touched him he felt the power of God through him and saw showers like rain coming down from heaven. We could rejoice together and thank God for his showers of blessing and power over our lives and in my body.

I believe this will be an encouragement to all of you praying and standing with us in this time of our journey. In the previous blog I mentioned about the side effect I experienced. They subsided in about three days and none of the others made any appearance. Thank you Jesus how grateful I am! Thank you for your continuous prayers and the sharing of God’s Word with us. The friends, who popped in, thank you.

I had loads of energy and was able to put my hand to some of the household chores. I could help Le Roux closing down the purchase ledger for December at our business just ready to be put through BACS payment and get the remittance advices out to the suppliers.

As my fireball daughter said the other day to me: “Mom, never stop praising God because you are walking every second in His manifested power and healing.” As my sister in SA heard how good it went after the chemo she was rejoicing and confirmed that this is a miracle!

I also had the opportunity to Skype a new friend, Heidi in the USA. She has also the challenge of cancer but it was good to speak to her and encourage each other in Jesus’ Name.

Although as we continue reading between these verses we realise that Father God even wants us to live in His blessings for our everyday needs here on earth. He is our source of everything pertaining to life and needs in the physical.

First chemo session...

The morning on the day of the first chemotherapy, I was very uncertain and nervous. My mind raced with loads of questions.

My sister, Helena and I spoke to each other the day before the first chemo. She taught me to speak God’s Word to these drugs as it drips through. “Touch the tubes and speak of God’s glory and life, knowing that Jesus is just here with me; your spirit is His special dwelling place. Speak to all the side effects listed as the medical staff gave it. God has given us authority through Jesus to proclaim His Word!”

I was armoured with God’s word which He gave to me early in the morning. Mark16:18 “they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
I believe this was from the Heart of God, quickened by the Holy Spirit in me, I knew I will enter this way with His Word always on my lips.

Then Psalm 91:10 “then no harm will befall you; no disaster will come near your tent.” I read the whole Psalm and was encouraged, building my faith and set my heart to praise my Father for His grace towards me.

I should share some of the routine in our house now. Early in the morning Le Roux, husband will prepare all the juices needed for the day. He grinds the organic oats to fine flour and makes me some poridge which he sometimes still needs to push through a sieve. He brought my porridge early this time because of the treatment later the morning…he was standing looking at me and said, "This morning God spoke and showed me how ‘you stand enveloped in a column of light from heaven’".

My mobile started to bleep with messages, encouraging scriptures of our friends and children all over. My spirit received and I continued to praise my Lord with thankfulness…His cloud of witnesses around me, amazing God. Boldness rose within me to go to hospital and knowing His presence is with me, ready to command the chemo only to hit the cancer cells and not harming anything else, which we did as it was administered.

After the chemo I felt a bit dizzy and shaky but my mouth didn’t stop speaking God’s Word over my body. The immediate side effects listed was pins and needles sensation in my hands and calves and muscle spasm although also set of with the cold weather or anything cold you touch, but I kept on speaking to it using the Word of the Lord. I knew deep down He is my redemption as He has promised in:

Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Treatment

Much is said on the blog regarding the spiritual fight; I would like to give some details on the natural fight through chemotherapy and nutrition.

Cancer chemotherapy: The chemotherapy consists of three elements: Epirubicin; Oxaliplatin and Capecitabine. The Epirubicin and Oxaliplatin is administered intravenous every three weeks through a PICC line. A PICC line is an insertion of a small tube through my veins from just above the elbow to a position close to the main arteries. The PICC line is a blessing as there is no need to search for veins and damage my veins with the chemo. The Capecitabine is taken daily mornings and evenings. It is two large pills but thankfully le Roux manages to dissolve the pills through a daily ritual! Just to let you know that the taste is absolutely vile. Thanks for God's grace I manage!

With the help of Helena, and others and lots of own research we embarked on as much nutritional and alternative treatments as possible. It would have been much easier if I could chew and eat all the food and pills, but low and behold, it must all be liquidised to find its way down. The alternative treatments we are using include:

Natural products
As freshly squeezed juices: Fruits: red grapefruit; oranges; apples, pears; lemon; black berries; raspberries; grapes; honeydew melon; blue berries
Green/Cabbage family: broccoli; Brussels sprouts; cabbage; swede; fennel; leeks

Our children, colleagues of our business at the office, my sister Helena and her husband André, were the first people to know after the gastroscopy was done.

I have no words to describe how precious our colleagues support just kicked in. I would like to call them our friends.
As we walked the journey in the business we have seen them grow with us as their new employers through the challenges and good times, they stood with us. They were there for us, even in this time when Le Roux shared with them the news. They spoke to Le Roux not to be worried about a thing and he needs to take time out to be with me whenever. Our people working out in the field popped into the office to give us their support. Their Christmas cards started to hit our tables and their wishes were so encouraging. I want to say thank you for walking this journey with us. You are very precious, much respected and loved.
I will never stop praying for you and your wellbeing.

In my first blog I wrote about our amazing children and their support.

Today I want to take this time and opportunity to say thank you to my sister Helena, André her husband and their children. They live in South Africa. They called us back when our connection was broken, no distance stood in their way to support and encourage us!

Helena and André have experienced this year 2008 as a victory in Jesus with their journey of cancer in their own son’s life. They read about it, made it their business to conquer a lack of knowledge. They sought out nutrition and alternative ways which they passed onto us. They supported us; lead us to find nutrition and supplements which worked for their son and many others.

They prayed with us, and never stopped praying in authority of the Name of Jesus.
They have been writing about healing during the year “Word of Life Healing School” and passed all these lessons to us via the email. What a perspective and blessing this has been to me at this time.

The email André and Helena sent me was also a wonderful teaching and reminder of our position in Christ:

“Jesus says “my joke” is easy. So with this attack from the world we live in, the way to healing is simply to enter His rest as Heb 4 says and this rest is where we sit at the right hand of the Father in position of authority and power because Jesus has overcome this world and our faith also overcomes this world. Faith is not to be mustered up as if we need more faith to face this onslaught. We must understand our position, identity and the destiny.

Our position is that we have received every blessing in Christ Jesus. All that we need had been given to us with regards to LIFE and GODLIKENESS. All the faith, love and power reside already in us. We approach this trial with all the power and faith already within us -that is rest. We have it - past tense!

Now it is to get the resurrection power released from our innermost being. Spiritual power is transferred by words, words of command in Jesus’ Name. Our senses are false witnesses when it comes to matters of faith. We are Spirit beings who must worship God in spirit and we find our way in the Spirit. Walking by the Spirit is walking by the lamp of the Word which is Spirit and Life says Jesus. The Word of God is the light in the Spirit dimension. If the word says so it is so it is in the Spirit. We must just bring it to pass in the physical by calling things which are not as if they are and call life out of death as Abraham did. So cancer is not the death threat. In the natural yes but not to us who are walking in the Spirit. We pull down the lies and the deceptions of the devil. Jesus conquered death, what is cancer to Him?

The faith that pleases God as Heb 11:6 says is an attitude which knows that Father has already given us the healing seed within. So we don’t beg, plead and try to persuade God to do it for us. He has done it already. It’s for us to bring our minds in line with the Word and our emotions in check with the Word. We must only receive what God offered as a gift. So what is left is gratitude, thanks giving and praise. When things seem darker you speak the word from a heart that is persuaded about the Word and its promises. When the mind real under doubt or second thoughts go and spend time in the Word and become convinced and persuaded that there is nothing to big for God. All things are possible thru this faith which accepts what God has already done in Jesus on the Cross. It was a finished work. It’s been done. Now God rewards us with signs, wonders and miracles as He confirms His Word. These are the mercy acts of God. Healing is the bread of the children.

Blessing, the VICTORY will be sweet.”

Diagnosis

Following some requests we would like to provide information on the diagnosis and treatment:

The diagnosis

During the summer of 2008 I had a period of approximately 4 months when I progressively had more and more difficulty to swallow food. Our first reaction was to ask around and search for reasons for this phenomena. We found information on eosophageal spams which emulated the conditions I experience quite well. It appeared that eosophaceal spams have no known cause, and no known successful treatment. However, I could not keep food down and had difficulty to get anything through this massive blockage at the base of my eosophagus. The pain when swallowing was excruciating. I started to regurgitate everything I eat and loose weight - fast. That is when we went to the GP for the first time (I must confess, probably too late - but I have no inbuilt fondness for visits to the doctor).

Blood tests came back positive with no abnormalities, and the GP could not come up with a single suggestion - except to refer me to a specialist. Two weeks past by before I got an appointment with Dr Goggin - the oesophageal specialist. Within 10 minutes in the consultation room he insisted on an immediate gastroscopy and arranged for a visit to the theatre within the next hour. The results was dim - the eosophagus is almost completely blocked with only a very tiny throughway to the stomach. There is a massive growth but Dr Goggin could not see the extent with the gastroscopy. The nature of growth is similar to cancerous growths in this area. A biopsy was taken and I was booked in for a CT scan the following day. Dr Goggin advised to stay completely away from any solids as any solid food will block the tiny hole. We arranged to see him again and the surgeon in two days when the results of the biopsy and CT scan would be available. The news was scary - but we had to wait the outcome.

Friday 6th December in the consulting room of Dr Somers le Roux and I stared at the CT scan results while the surgeon explained the pictures and the implications. There is a thickening of the lower eosophagus at the gastro junction. There are metastical disease in the liver with at least 6 separate 1-2cm lesions scattered through both lobes. There is no abnormalities seen in the biliary tree, spleen, pancreas, kidneys and adrenal areas. The biopsy confirm Eosophageal Adonacarcinoma - cancer of the Eosophagus. The stage is T3NxM1 - in layman terms advanced cancer that has already spread. Surgery is not an option and he suggested we start with chemo therapy as soon as possible. Survival rate for this type of cancer is almost nil, there is no permanent cure. I stared at him, shocked - "so this is the end?" I asked. Le Roux then enquired "So it is only a miracle that can help?" Dr Somers reply: "Yes - only a miracle."

In my mind and speaking to LeRoux in Afrikaans: I said,"so a miracle it will be" and in my mind the Spirit of God quickened His Word - 1Peter 2:24 ...by whose stripes you were (past tense) healed! At this moment the words Jesus spoke on the cross started ringing in my ears..."It is finished!" John 19:30...Jesus kept on saying to me..." I have paid, I have paid!" I did not hear much further as LeRoux and the surgeon was speaking.

Crafted prayer from God's Word

This is a special time with you, my family and friends to share and communicate with you. Thank you so much for your emails, telephone calls, texts messages – at least I now has the opportunity to practice my mobile text messages…and use it! Hoorah! I hear from my children’s cries ringing in my ears – Mom (SA spelling) has conquered this skill!!!

Marcus, my daughter’s husband released her to be with me as much as she want and is needed. What a blessing so I bathed in the privileged to have our little grandson, Daniel – five months old - to have him around and of cause my fireball of a daughter. Cooking all kinds of new foods to expand my soup diet to more exciting stuff although still pureed!!!

Everyday is packed with the Word of God and actively renewing my mind. When I skip this or do not have that much time my hunger pains quickly appear and it feels as if I did skip eating my daily bread!

Kay one of the leaders in our church prayed to ask God about His heavenly report:

“I have been specifically asking God for the 'heaven's report' Jeremiah 23 v 18 report for Elmien, and this is what I felt.”

PS 103:1 Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

PS 103:2 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits

PS 103:3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,

PS 103:4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,

PS 103:5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Verse 4 can also mean deliverance from death.

Kay wrote: "As I dwelt upon this I thought of how people can be thrown into prison through no fault of their own, through false accusation, but with intervention [maybe prayers, and legal action, or political pressure] they can be set free.
I am sensing your situation is like that, a 'prison' experience from which you will be set free, and liberated to liberate others.
I feel our response should be to pray this psalm as a prayer in alignment with God's will as a P.U.S.H. prayer. [Pray until something happens]
These prayers collectively and made in unity and agreement will build something in the spirit that will become a force against the enemy and see us through to victory."

God showed this to me that I am surrounded all over the world with a cloud of witnesses praying and supporting me (us), by the powerful Name of Jesus, our Lord and this is to our Father’s glory! You are standing there and cheering me on…”come on girl the victory of the Father is sweet!”

Please feel free as lead by His Holy Spirit to join in with Psalm 103: 1-5 as a prayer.

Amy prayed, a young newly wed blessing of a girl, Kay’s daughter wrote this email:

I prayed for Elmien this morning and I felt two things.

Verse one says: Praise the Lord O my soul, all my inmost being praises the Lord.
I felt like God was saying there was a command to speak over her body in praising the Lord. All elements to her inmost being to be in alignment with God’s freedom and to obey His authority by surrendering to his supremacy instead of trying to fight it. Obviously we know that Elmien hasn’t stopped praising God in her spirit and her soul but the verse says 'ALL my inmost being' and the physical are obliged to conform to the spirit.

Verse five says: Your youth is renewed like the eagles.
I felt like God was saying that an eagle has an unflagging strength and power that will come from the victory of this battle. The eagle is the top of the food chain and nothing preys over it. I believe that God was saying that this disease is like a prey over her, wanting to eat her up - but when this battle is fought and won she will have a strength about her that will be unflagging and that the enemy will not be able to prey over. She
will soar above any threat and be beyond destructive towards to the enemy.

A bit long again but my heart is overflowing to share with you. Amazing God because all align with cards, messages, phone calls, emails, etc.

God's word is the ultimate authority

My dear friend Debby from Denmark sent me a booklet 'God's Creative Power for Healing' by Charles Capp. What a blessing this spoken Scriptures are to me. Teachings how to apply the Word of God to my body, which I have been studying and applying since I received this booklet.

Today's encouraging Word from the Lord. Matt 17:20 what was significant to me, 'Jesus said a small bit of faith and believing in what I say, carries life or death and nothing will be impossible for you if one graps this spiritual law. I confessed God's Word and spoke to my body to receive my words.

I did not join LeRoux early morning to the office.

The enemy came to spread his lies around and I called my daugther. She is a real fireball for Jesus and shared the Word God gave her this morning, Isaiah 41:9-10. 'Give no place for fear Mom, you are chosen by Father God, You are his servant and you have a testimony to share to this world. God says, fear not for I AM with you. Be not dismayed, for I AM your God. I will strengthen you, Yes I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' She had me confess God's Word aloud and as I heard it the peace of God entered my being. Ps.118:17 I confessed 'I will not die but live and declare the works of God.'

I went to work and enjoyed it came back earlier because friends of the church came to visit. Thank you Elizabeth for sharing Luke10:19; Jesus gave us authority over all the power of the enemy. Hallelujah!!!

I would like to share this song of praise from my friend Lizette, she encouraged me to keep on praising the Lord.
"There is power in the name of Jesus By His name, we shall stand. There is power in the name of Jesus We are saved, we are saved!! By His name, the enemy Will be crushed beneath our feet, for there is no other name, that is higher, THAN JESUS!!"

I would love to conclude using this excellent Scripture.

Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Cancer is so limited

Thanks for your mail Elma– it is true – Cancer has no hold on the things that really matter in life – in fact, cancer cannot withstand the work that Jesus did on the cross 2000 years ago. We stand and declare the Word of God, the truth of His promises and the eternal purposes of our Heavenly Father. He said that He will never leave us nor forsake us; He has good things in mind for us; He has been there before us; he has prepared a table for us in the presence of our enemies; He is with us in the valley of Darkness; He is the beginning and the end, the alpha and omega, the Great I AM.

Crossing the first hurdle

Last week Tuesday (9th Dec), my husband and I got ready to go to hospital to have a stent put in my oesophagus to allow me to eat solid foods. When we arrived at the hospital, the doctor questioned us about how much I am eating and drinking. As I am only able to eat a liquid diet he was concerned that I am not getting enough nutrients. He was so impressed by my progress that he decided to send me home without having the stent, saying that agrivating the tumour would not be the best idea now anyway.

We praise God for His faithfulness and goodness. Thanks to my husband and my daughter that pumped me full of liquidised fresh vegetables and fruit and homemade soups my body has been responding very well. My weight loss stopped and I am feeling full of life. I am consuming my life with the Word of God and would like to share some of his truths with you.

1 John 5: 14-15 "Ask anything according to His will he hears us"

Before I went in to hospital God shared with me that perfect Love casts out fear, Jesus is the Son of God & He is perfect Love. (1 John 4:18)

Whilst meditating on His word, God touched me and I knew that anything I ask in Jesus name is mine! I believe the same Spirit that resurrected Jesus Christ from the dead has resurrected my body, my healing is my inheritance and right. I speak to my body, God promised me and He cannot lie.

Through God's Word I learned that God is greater than everything we may face:

1 John 4:4 "He who is in you is greater than he that is in the world"

1 John 4:12-16 "His love has been perfected in us and we know that He abides in us and we in Him & He has given us His Spirit"

John 10: 28-29 "God is greater than all"

1 John 5:6-13 "The witness of God is greater"

I trust that you too can be encouraged by the Word of God and continue to grow in our faith as God is strengthening me and teaching me to believe Him.

A story of unseen faith

Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of Passage? His

father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone. He

is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold

until the rays of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out for

help to anyone. Once he survives the night, he is a MAN.

He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must

come into manhood on his own. The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear

all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him. The wind

blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never

removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man!

Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his

blindfold. It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the stump

next to him. He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from

harm. We, too, are never alone. Even when we don't know it, God is watching

over us, sitting on the stump beside us.. When trouble comes, all we have

to do is reach out to Him.

Moral of the story: Just because you can't see God, doesn't mean He is not

there. "For we walk by faith, not by sight.."

In the beginning...

On the first four days...

My husband, did not stop to care and love me, took me to the hospital and consulting rooms, keeping me close, asking the questions in my place, extracting healthy vegies and friut juices through the juicer. At night he read to me Ps. 91 & 100. I thank God for this precious man he gave to me 32 years ago to be my husband. The kindness of God flows out of him. God even blessed me with His perfect choice for my life. I love you my Angel.

My daughter sent me this email in the morning before the first visit to the consultant.
"Just want to say that I am thinking about you today and praying for you that you will be "Brave and Courageous" just like Joshua in the Bible. Here is a little verse of encouragement: 6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

After the gastroscopy on Tuesday, the 2nd December 2008 and what the doctor saw looked bleak... a tumour. I knew after I heard the medical side, it is God's verdict which is the most important to me. What does Father God has to say? His Word rose up in my spirit, '...by the stripes(wounds) of Jesus I was healed(past tense)' 1 Peter 2:24. Jesus has finished the work in His body on the cross, I can jump for joy, it is settled!!!

My children arranged to skype and pray with us. The power of God's Word and the anointing released was absolute glorious, truths of God and His Spirit was just showered on me and I enjoyed and rejoiced in it.

While sleeping that night this statement kept on coming to me-"Is there anything bigger than Father God"-my response- "no Father nothing, You are bigger than everything; You are Creator of the heavens and earth, You keep the galaxies and know the stars by name, but most important You formed me and know my name". I believe my Lord and I knew immediatly that I choose to praise Him and receive His Word in my spirit. I cursed and spoke to that ungodly spirit which manifested in my body to steal, kill and destroy in the Name of Jesus.
I woke up and had the urge in me to read Psalm 23... oh! what a glorious time. God's peace just flooded me and I kept reading Ps 24 & 25. God also spoke to me from the book of Hebrews 1.

I was so blessed on the day thereafter, my daughter's friend and my spiritual child from South Africa's days; called me and wanted to pray with me. I was so glad and blessed because of how God is watching over her and taught her to use His Word in such a powerful way - John 14:27.

Friends of our church came and it was such special time of prayer and declaring the Word of the Lord.
Psalm 36:5-9; Proverbs 10:2.

My one son came this weekend from London to be with us all as an extended family together and gave me Ezekiel 37:1-14. My daughter's husband cancelled appointments in London to be with us over the weekend. We have shared the Word and listened to wonderful Word foundation teachings. My eldest son downloaded on my MP3 player powerful Word teachings and the whole Bible.

My family in South Africa took time to call and minister. My husband Mum shared Psalm 34 with me. Family and friends in the UK and USA called.

Word from my SA friend in the UK texted me on 4-12-08 shared Mark10:27. My daugther reminded me God said to her - Be still and know that I am God.

I want to record God's spoken word to me in this manner so I will be reminded and able to speak His life giving Word daily.

Out of all this support, God's message of peace, resting in Him, His greatness, His possibility, Jesus' finished work, became very clear and settled in my spirit.

John 14:1 Jesus said: "Do not let your heart be troubled, you believing in God; believing also in Me.

I want to give Father God al the glory, honour and praise and declare my love for Him.
